Question Backsear air vents blowing cold

The vents that blow air to the back seats blow cold air when the heat is on. The front vents are plenty warm. Any suggestions? Fortunately I can close the vents, and I don't have back seaters that often.

I don't know much about the 525, but I would guess that the heating element is not funtioning properly for the rear seats.

I do not know where it is, but if you have a bently look up the AC Heating section and it should tell you.

    Also check your fuses.

I was trying to figure out the same thing on my 97 540ia. I was reading the owners manual, and I thinkit said that the back air ducts dont blow hot air, only cold, or fresh air, or something like that. under the front seats is the only hot air the back seats get.

Yup, on the E34, the rear vents that are in the center console will only blow cold(fresh) air. The 'foot' vents under the front seats are where the heat for the rear passengers blows.
