    This guy.

I had the pleasure of meeting this internet legend on Sunday. Oh, and also Ryan.

Great meeting you man. It was an honor.

Your car was incredible. Really encouraged me to look into some LSx info.

    Bumping an awesome thread.

OP, would true duals exhaust work on the LS1 M3 swap? I've heard a lot of Camaro guys say that is the best sounding exhaust for the LS1.

It is probably registered in another state or the smog is done through an "associate"

At least that is what I would expect

Looks great Ryan! I met up with Ryan at Cars & Coffee yesterday, snapped a few pics of the engine bay etc. Just need to add some more HP and Tires and you'll be up in my region of fun! (put a link to the pics in the CA C&C thread)

Love the color too, very sweet Blue!

Yes it would if I modified my spare tire well but I love it the way it is. Its loud when I want it to be and I have dual 3in to high flow cats that merge to one 4in pipe going out to my muffler.

John, I apologize that our meeting was so brief. I need to add more tire first then Ill decide on what I need to do with the engine but what ever it will be...it'll sure be fun

So it could potentially sound something like:

    1991 535i/5. 154k miles. SOLD

^not quite that crazy. In my years of modding, I have learned to like a more moderate tone. My car is still quite aggressive becuase people ask me all the time about my exhaust

Can you still get that cammed v8 idle sound I'd imagine? As soon as Vorshlag Motorsports gets a firm price, then I'm gonna plan on doing the LS1 E36 in the future

Nothing better than Camaro/Corvette speed with BMW handling.

Also is the LS1 cheaper to work on than the M3 engine I would imagine?

Yes you can get the cammed sound as the motor is still a chevy motor. I will be doing cams and heads soon. In many ways its cheaper but it can be a challenge to work on especially on the drivers side.

    Sounds good.

If you want, can you get it to sound like that Camaro vid I posted above?

BMW's, Z's, LS1's and BLUE.. Damn I love this thread.. Your car is awesome.

A little warning to those looking for LS engines in wrecked cars. They are very often times cracked because of the impact and not always easily found until after you've forked over the $$$$.

Thanks. Ill try and get pics of his 510. Its in the shop right now. Last night he was driving a hydrogen Mazda RX-8...Man I love his job.

Anyways...I got a big box from Summit the other day so it will be time to get the car back on jackstands to do:

    -Replace stainless brake lines
-brass caliper guide pins and brake pads
-replace tailshaft seal between the transmission and driveshaft
    -install AA diff support
    -oil service
    -change plugs
    -Install new oil pressure gauge
-install AF gauge (have to buy this soon)
    -Install water temp gauge

sooooo...not exciting stuff at the moment but more pics soon

Sure hope not all that stuff came from Summit!

Like to see some large killer pics of the 510, have a long time bud with one sitting in his backyard buried under stuff...someday he'll rebuild it. Last ran in something like 1984...Ha Ha...
