Whalbro 400 and 80#'ers pull the wastegate line off and let her rip I am very curious to see what psi level I am able to hold on the GTX.

Race Gas for now. e85 is on the horizon possibly...

Mike shipped my 80s and OBD2 conversion stuff yesterday, I'll beat you to it

Chelsea is running 27psi on his GTX35, so I'm thinking you can do quite a bit more than 30 before it's maxed.

Head is on and torque sequence is finished. Updated with Supertech dual valve springs and retainers this time around too. Final torque values were 93-117 lb-ft, with most in the 105-110 range.

Will have a ton more progress tonight after work. I hope to start it / drive it tomorrow.

Excellent! I have found the ratchet feature on the techwrench not that great when doing degrees it seems to count the slack when you ratchet, and messes it up.. Maybe its just my wrench?

I just do 1 continuous pull anyways, but I did notice that.
Glad to see the progress mike!

My wrench remembers your degree. I did 2-3 pulls on each stud, stopping around 45-60 degrees, then ratchet it back some and do the final heave. Works flawless

    And thanks dude!

    Nice!

Why did you choose the MLS again over the OEM gasket?

I have the same wrench snap on tech wrench that remembers too, but I found it to have a tiny bit of slack where it didn't calculate great.

I had great luck with my MLS, thus I'm using one again. I don't trust an OEM gasket, especially without o-rings.

Holds 10psi to redline perfectly, with dual open MVS wastegates screaming and alerting every cop in a 3 mile radius

So glad to be back! Was quite a fiasco the last 2 days. Thursday night after work my dad gave me a hand putting the head/cams/etc. and get the car back together by this weekend... well I was putting on the intake manifold/piping/other stuff, he was installing the intake cam. He forgot to rotate the engine as he installed the cam, and long story short bent my intake valves on cylinder 6. Friday morning, pulled the intake/piping/etc. off, pulled the head off, sent it to the machine shop and went to work. Valves were replaced and we installed it Friday night. Setup the VANOS and cam timing today, and then bolted on the turbo and everything else. So essentially yesterday it was a bare block, and today it's running great

I just spent three hours reading this thread and loved every minute. Keep it up, we're all drooling over your progress so far. I'll probably be in Austin later this summer and would love to see the car. Keep up the good work.

Drove it to the lake yesterday to go relax with family and friends. It was a blast and spool is everywhere. 10psi by 3000 or so, with positive boost by 2300-2400 rpm. It feels fantastic to me and doesn't fall off up top like I expected, which is a pleasant surprise. Vids today, I'm driving it to work

So badass man, glad to see it's back together!

Also glad to hear that our manifolds can flow 10psi on a turbo like that with no creep!

Yep, it's working flawlessly! Thanks again guys for an incredible kit! I'll be posting logs/vids in the next few days. Busy catching back up at work from the long weekend. Spool is lightning fast with torque everywhere and it holds power all the way to redline (according to butt dyno of course ) I'll try to get some better engine bay / kit pictures and make a separate thread soon with more review.

Mike i need your help ASAP.. my car just got finished getting wired but we are stuck on the Speed sensor from the diff... I dont have a stock cluster.. nor do i have a digital dash... what did you do with the diff sensor signal??

What I did wont work for you since you don't have an AIM. According to some you need a 5V reference for the diff signal, which the AIM provides. I'm not sure how to wire it otherwise, sorry.
