Alright so this thread will be home to the first couple of photoshoots I take of my 1997 Byzanz Metallic M3 (picked up about a month ago).

P/O took care of her
Car is on Bilstein/ H&R combo
Unfortunately all you get for now is this teaser shot.

Love it! When the time comes to replace my daily, a Byzanz is on the short list!
The color can shift so dramatically depending on lightning... As soon as I saw the car in person I knew I would buy it.
If you haven't seen one outside of the internet you are missing out on the true nature of teh byzanz color
Edit: Writing this post made me have to walk downstairs just now and peek in the garage to have a look myself... its that good

Looks nice, but I'm not really feeling the ASAs... it would look perfect without the tint and some LTWs.
Edit: Are those all chrome kidneys?
That's pretty sweet. Reminds me of the sunset orange metallic GM makes.
So I used the E36M3 mailing list to ask about this color and blah, blah, blah about my new car. Turns out that my car is one of three byzanz M3's produced for the US market. One, I know, is in the northwest and I've yet to find the third one. So this unique car needed a unique name. I tossed it around back and forth and couldn't come up with anything. My last car, the Mustang was easy. It looked like a skunk and Pepe Le Pew is the only famous skunk I ever heard of, so Pepe it was. This car was a tough one, I was all out of ideas. I thumbed through the baby-names book, nothing. I grabbed The Fiction Writer's Silent Partner off my bookshelf and started looking over the chapter on creating names for characters that reflect their personality. The name Penny was at the bottom of the first section and it immediately caught my attention. A Lincoln penny is copper, the car is copper colored. It just clicked and it's been Penny ever since.
pretty rare too.
