Woooo. Just missing small pieces here and there. I'll be getting some new stuff to take care of that
Got the right output flanges for the M3 output shafts and got it all bolted up with new torx bolts.
Got my new guibo installed with the help of my new electric impact gun I got for my birthday. Thanks mom! haha
Got the front coilovers installed as well as the new front hubs/spindle.
This post is coming from someone that hasn't read everything.
What flywheel, clutch, clutch slave, and DS are you using with the 6 speed conversion
How do you like that impact gun? I almost bought it on black friday but wasn't sure how well it worked....
The impact gun is great. I got the 1/2" drive this time and I do not like it as much as my 3/8ths drive but it has a lot more punch. I just have to use a 1/2" to 3/8" conversion since all my tools are 3/8ths...
I am using the Fidanza with the OE Sachs clutch. Factory Slave, and I am not 100% sure on what driveshaft I have. It was in the car that I got the 6 speed out of. I did replace the CV joint and Guibo as preventative maintenance but I did not do the CSB. It looked fine and they are a pain to do so I skipped that. I hear you can use the auto trans shafts without any issues...
Not to rain on anyone's parade but I had a craftsman professional impact gun and it broke after 3 months. Same thing happened to my friend.
Get a IR 231C or a cheap one from HF. The 231C will last a long time and the HF is cheap enough its not a big deal if you have to replace it. FWIW my buddy bought a HF to replace his craftsman and its lasted him about 18 months and going.
Edit: I am on my phone, and that appears to be electric. I have never used an electric one. Sorry if this was off topic OP.

Reigning and Longest Tenured OT President to Date
I had my 3/8ths drive impact gun for almost 3 years and I beat the crap out of it. I would throw it down on the ground and it never had an issue. I finally threw it down one day and it landed on the bit wrong, broke it in there and I couldnt get it out so I got a new one...
This new one has a 3 year warranty as well
I want this car.
I didnt know you had a 6 speed!! Thats awesome
Looking great Rob, going to be a heck of a ride when it's all done.
What are your plans for the interior? I've always loved the alcantara/cloth hurricane interiors these cars have. Is yours in good shape or will it need a significant amount of work?
Subscribed. Awesome job and Id second that you are the kind of person id want to buy a car from.
I am doing a full restore for the interior as well. My front seats still had the alcantara but they are both missing the hurricane fabric. The rears are perfect! Front door panels are also in excellent shape. For whatever reason, the hurricane fabric for the rear panels is barely falling off. I am going to repair the rears. I am also doing a proper alcantara headliner, pillars and rear deck. I am not messing around with the fake suede as I have in the past and it just does not hold up like I'd like. I used to have Recaro Pole Positions in my old red M3. I am considering getting another set, wrapping the sides in alcantara and the centers in hurricane cloth to keep it somewhat original yet wayyyy cooler :P
The rest of my front suspension parts are arriving tomorrow, as well as randome hoses and plastic parts to get the motor the rest of the way hooked up. Should be rocking and rolling right in time for a christmas burnout session :
