Hurry and update this shit. me no likey waity
dude you must be darm lucky to find another car in within a couple of days "the black one " ... a great swapping journey there ...
You really do not want those M Technic side moulding... Trust me. Just sell them to me.
Damn, very very nice work so far!
1997 BMW 328is Alpine White // Dove Grey
ZF Swapped | 3.23 LSD | FK Coilovers | 17x8.5 Borbet Type C | 75mm Wheel Studs | 12mm Vorshlag Spacers | 5000k HIDs | Euro Taillights | Suede Headliner/Pillars
are those tranny mounts vorshlag? let us know how you like em, if you get any NVH? What motormounts are you using?
TRM Coilovers 670F/895R | BBS LM | Corsa RSC36
They are the vorshlag trans mounts. I will let you know about the nvh because I was worried about that as well. I currently have UUC reds in my spec e36 along with the vorshlag race engine mounts and I actually notice no increased nvh... I think the vorshlag trans mounts will work out great!!!!
Did you ever paint the rest of your door handles? I hope they turned out good...
I got the AA control arms out of the white car and cleaned them up. DAM do they look nice!!! They also take factory bushings and I just so happened to have a brand new set!
I am debating on whether to use the AA arms or UUC. Can anyone help me decide? I am selling one set so I think which ever sells first, ill use the other...
I got the subframe completely dropped out of the mtech. One of the diff mounts was completely foubarred. Someone attempted to make some terrible welds as well...
This is probably why the car felt so dangerous when flooring it the time I drove it home.. This and RTAB limiters on only one side!
I like reading your rebuild threads. I like your attention to detail! :tu
Just curious, but do you wish you didn't buy it after finding out all the issues it has or do you wish you were able to get it for a lower price?
Either way, I like seeing rare cars like these in the hands of people who are serious about rebuilding cars. No shortcuts and done right!
I always wish I could get the car cheaper! Except my $325 325is Spec E36 I built, that was priced pretty fair lol!
There are a lot of parts from the meth I will end up selling or saving and holding on to as extras for my racecar so I think I got a fair deal. The white car was not even for sale when I picked it up so I paid a premium for it right there. I do wish the paint and body were in better shape so I would not have to do a proper paint job. The paint on my spec car looks freakin perfect!!! Oh well, that's the fun of it too. Every single build no matter how much attention to detail I put in, I always end up doing something that I have never done. For example in this build, painting the engine block and entire car! Haha
More updates to come. I got the subframe reinforcements in and I located all the m3 rear parts I need locally. I want to pressure wash the underside of the car just to get the 17 years of road grime off. I know it's crazy but on another guys spec e36 build he did it and it looked great! I just have to figure out how while it's in the garage! Any suggestions?
