    You sir are correct!!

Paint is under way. I should get it back any day now..

    Ok, S54!!!!!!

I got it from a 2004 with 46,000 miles! It is VERY clean. The engine came 99% complete, including the long block, all the accessories such as the alternator, power steering pump, oil cooler and lines, ac compressor, intake and exhaust manifolds, wiring harness and DME. Also, it was from an SMG car so I know its never been over-revved.

I had my friend from United BMW run the vin on the engine. It had new rod bearings and injectors done at 22k. I'm very happy!

    Removal!

    Got it in the shop:

Got the S54 loaded on an engine stand and we began to tear it down for prep:

Got the intake manifold off. We also removed the wiring harness to get it prepped for the conversion.

wow this is an inspiring build... just scrolled through it all. Nice work.

also, the shot with all of the crappy paint work bubbling off is my fav. Gotta love aircraft remover.

So the paint prep has begun!!!! Third time is a charm. Special thanks to WagenWorks of Atlanta for helping me get this car perfect.

I decided that I wanted to have the engine bay painted now since I pulled the trusty ol' S52. I removed everything that I could to make the paint come out as best as possible.

They already began prepping the doors. They even noticed a dent in the driver door that I, nor the other paint people, ever noticed. I am going to be very happy with their attention to detail.

Went over to my buddy Kyle Grob's new shop in Marietta to get some tig welding done.

    His new place:

Here is how the headers looked on the inside when I got them. Not 100% perfect but an excellent start!

    Getting my headers tig'd up:

Well, I went to small claims court earlier this week to try to collect my $3200 for paint job number 2 that turned out ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I lost... So much for our justice system. It will catch up to them, I am not worried

Alright everyone... I am in a really tight spot...

I am starting to think, after 4 months..., that the third paint place is not going to work out. They found more stuff wrong from paint job #2 and are quoting me $6-9k to make it right.

Help? I do not want to abandon this project.

I hope the 2nd team of people who did my paint job rot in the fiery depths of hell Jonathan Daughtie and John D Purgason Jr of 4621 Gillsville Hwy., Gillsville GA. 30543 Hall County GA. Jonathan promised me back $800 of my $3200 and disappeared, John Purgason bold faced lied in court about how his paint job was satisfactory and worth $3200.

It will be expensive but do not hesitate few extra $ and make it good this time.

So the euro exhaust is exact fit to S52 engine? Any mods required to make it fit and match with the stock exhaust?
