We were able to negotiate a very favorable room rate at the Carmel Mission Inn, the headquarters for this year's PSF. The room block we reserved will expire on September 8, 2011, and it will NOT be extended. If you are planning to attend this year's Pacific Sharkfest, and do not reserve your hotel room, it is certain that you will be paying more, and most likely won't find local lodging anywhere else.
Aside from the Monterey Peninsula being a popular tourist area, this weekend also has the SCCA races at Laguna Seca, and other local events. The hotel will let our room block go and rent the rooms at market rates unless they are taken.
More detailed information and PSF registration data is on our website: www.pacificsharkfest.com
What is the cost of the rooms?
I paid $130 per night for two of us.
Did I read correct... Laguna Seca race track for $8 ? That is impossible..

The Parade Laps at Laguna Seca are $20 per person. The track is on property owned by the County of Monterey Parks Department, and they are charging $8 per car as an admission fee to get into Laguna Seca.
The $20 fee is optional with Pacific Sharkfest registration.
Every car entering Laguna Seca will pay an $8 fee to the county.
The Carmel Mission Inn actually did extend our room block rates until this Sunday, September 11th.
