No spacers here. Had a lousy experience with them on a previous vehicle. I won't use them again.
I run 245/ 9"x19 et 0mm front and 275/ 10,5" 19 et 14mm rear, no spacers, no rubbing or any issues what so ever.

I have a 10mm spacer wit 19"X9" with 265/35/19 up front and a 20mm spacer with 20"x11" with 305/30/20 in the back
The front is lowered using H&R springs, the back is at sock height, I have the Eibach springs for the back, but haven't got around to installing them. I may not install the rear springs as the wheel fills the wheel well evenly.
I would recommend getting a set of wheel hub extenders for above 10mm spacer.

What brand did you go with for the 20mm spacers. Part numbers would be great. Thx

I highly recommend going with M Techs in the back, which are perfect match for the front spring rates of H&R.
I have gone through 6 different spring setups, and my favorite was and still is Mtech rears and H&R front. I have also a car with CSI everything all around, stock but engineered by M Division so they did their homework.

Thanks Alex.

Spacers are for looks not for driving.
Most of the time it messes up the geometry (tested it on several cars and hate them).
Best is to keep original ET-values (or very close) and get rims that fit.
Buy an alpina set or have a set custom made, so it still drives ok.

Ok, let's say that I'm not mathematically savvy. What are the correct ET values for the flush look fitment? And what or how do I go about measuring to get the values that a custom builder would need? Vossen makes a custom wheel that I like.

Agree with Huub's and Chuck's comments above - avoid using spacers wherever possible.

wheel size website has a nice tool for it.
https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?whe...cl=50mm&sr=0mm
left the original size, right what you want
below it will give you suggestions....... not an easy just put on a rim thing, as close as stock as possible (especialy the ET value).
And the E31 has pretty strange ET values, in general most rims will not work on an E31.

Here is the website I use

You could also do a test fit and do the math.
I used a combination of both methods to fit my rims, and I had literally no time for error I got the rims back from the refinisher, fitted the rims to the car and it rolled out of the backyard for the first time on the rims at 11:55pm to be driven for my wedding in the morning.
All the work and math paid off I had no issues.

H&R spacers front and rear for me.
20mm front (bolt-on) and 15mm rear (bolt-through).
Bilstein shocks all round, Eibach springs at the front, M-sport springs at the rear.
Wheels are 17" style 5s.
Would you happen to have the part numbers for the Mtech springs??

Although they are not on realoem etc. the dealer should find them if you enquire. Peter at Sytners parts did explain to me why they are not listed once, can't remember exactly why, but they are colour coded, think that was something to do with it.
these are the numbers.
33 53 1 138 739 - spring
33 53 1 136 696 - spring pad

I love how the original question was “what size spacers are you using” turned in to a thread that’s 90% people just showing off their cars without spacers on wheels that are hard to come by or very expensive or both.

Hi guys, will 18x9.5, 22offset work on the front?
