What size wheel spacers is everyone using?

I have these 18x8.5 +20mm front wheels, and 18x9.5 +25mm rear wheels. They still seem to set in just a bit, and I was looking at the 30mm and 20mm spacers, and was curious what others people opinions as to the best fit with wheels spacers...

I have lowering springs for the, and they are obviously not installed in the pics yet.. So I will need some spacers size that will work with the lowering springs..

    spacers

I think you are thinking too big, especially when lowered.
    I have stock M-Pars 18x8 13et front and 18x9.5 et 24 rear and run 12.5mm all around.
ECS spacers w/bolts which are quality and reasonably priced.

30mm spacers are massive and will add vibration to your ride. Personally, if I were to run spacers, I'd go with the rogue engineering ones (available in 10-18mm) because they are lightweight, hub centric, and have a bevelled edge to pry them off your rotor hat if and when they seize on.

One thing I regularly do to help prevent that from happening is use a wire brush wheel on a drill and brush all of the rust off my wheel mounting faces and brake rotor hats, then generously apply some anti-seize compound (I use a Loctite-branded copper-based anti-seize lubricant).

So, I am needing about an 18mm for the front, and about a 12mm for the rear to be set about the same as you are sitting here?

I used the 1010 wheel offset calculator and 12.5mm would put your half inch wider wheel all on the inside, thus same on the outside.
So my original guess was right on. Try this calculator: http://www.1010tires.com/wheeloffsetcalculator.asp

I tried it.. So, you are interpretting that the same 12.5mm spacers would be the same result as the wheel postion in the pics of your car? So, I would only need the 12mm spacers..?

I'm running 8.5x18 et 13 fronts and 10X18 et 20 rears. I have 15mm spacers up front and 10mm in the rear. No vibration issues, but I did have to modify the rear fenders to get rid of a bit of rubbing.

Yes, My initial guess was as correct as the math formula used in the calculator. So your 8.5 inch wheel with 20et and a 12.5 spacer would sit exactly the same place as mine on the outside. While being 12mm or about 1/2 inch closer to the strut on the inside. No Interpretation.

Got it lowered, and I have my spacers on the way.. I have the Magnaflow with X-pipe done, and removed the resonators, which sounds perfect. The Wokke Chips, I have a Dinan Trans Chip coming, Drilled Rotors on the way.

I have been debating on the body kit, but can seem to make myself pull the trigger on it..

What size hole in the x-pipe if you don't mind sharing? This has quite an effect on torque.

Not sure of the actual size of the hole.. We bent two pieces of 2.5 inch pipe, so they would come together in about a 5 inch length connection.. We then cut each side of the pipe in that 5 inch run so they would fit together, and then welded them toegher.. If I had to guess I would say the hole was about 2"+ tall and about 4.5" long.. It worked real well, and sounds great..

your offsets are too high to begin with if you want the flush look

I am always a fan of getting the appropriate offset as opposed to screwing around with spacers.

No spacers with E31 specific M System IIs...but then again I'm not looking to fill the wheel well up too much.

30mm (et -3) front and 15mm (et +12) rear, no wobbles. Good spacers shouldn't cause vibrations..
