Gotta say flat black complimented with the red leather is my dream
Hello!
Just purchased a 2003 Z4 3.0, 6 speed, SGM, black roof, red leather. Power seats and top, heated seats, and bi-xenon lights.
Love it so far!
I have ordered a head unit, zhp shift knob, and a stubby antenna to kick off the modding!
I'm new to BMW but not new to cars. My last project car was a 2005 Subaru WRX with all the goodies. I'll post a link in the appropriate section.
well after milling around the forum - this seems like the most appropriate place to post my rex i guess...

new to the forum have a 2009 s3.0 need to know how to post pics
A little late to the party, but here goes. I live in San Jose, CA and finally found the car I wanted in Colorado Springs. Picked up a fully-optioned '07 3.0si ragtop with 20k miles and had it shipped to me. Sweet ride that will never see rain or snow. The only mod so far is an OEM mesh wind deflector; coming soon, saddle brown inserts for the black M-style seats. Rounds out the silver gray exterior and aluminum trim interior. If I could figure out how to post pics here, I would, but there is one in my profile.
Spirited and safe driving to us all
Cheers.

I'd be interested to see how that works out with the inserts on the seats - please post pics when you're done!
Just sold my 2001 porsche boxster s , drove to Augusta GA and picked up my new to me 2008 Z4M
Alpine white,6speed, dark brown interior, premium package, heated seats etc
Always thought the boxster was the most fun I ever had with my clothes on, man, was I wrong:
so glad to be back in a bmw
New to this forum, new to BMWs. Got an E86 M Coupe a couple weeks ago, still can't stop smiling.
The wife hates it, but I warned her.
Any other BMW noobs get as worried as me by the 'directional parking lights'? I thought my car had a stroke that killed the right half of it's electricals, like a 90s Range Rover.
I didn't find an E89 Registry so here goes: 2011 35i 6t-speed M-Sport with the M-Adaptive suspension. Currently at 11K miles and still loving that twin turbo thrust.
My new-to-me 2009 Z4 S35i, 16k miles, 7 speed M-DCT, premium package, sport package, heated-seats and 19" alloy wheels.
Here I go from Miami, FL 2nd owner of my Sweet BMW Z4 2006 I got it with 12000 miles now 70000, i have been reading this forum for about 5 years now but never introduced l don know why...

I've recently purchased a 2006 BMW Z4 M-Roadster and wanted to take the time to introduce myself and and our new to us BMW.
My wife had been dying to have a 2-seater roadster and while we lived in Germany I had fallen in love with the capability and driving experience German automobiles provided. She was needing a car, so this was a great excuse for me to look into purchasing something I'd enjoy as well. So after looking at a few Z4's and TT's, we ran across a deal we couldn't pass up.
We ended up purchasing a 2006 BMW Z4 M-Roadster from ecarhouse in Texas. The car had 30,400 miles, premium package, premium sound, HID lights, and appeared to be in nearly mint condition. We have had the car for about 3 weeks now and absolutely love it, no regrets.
I'm a pretty big car enthusiast and do not claim allegiance to any particular brand or type- I've had Mustangs, Jeeps, and currently own a B6 S4. We currently live outside of Ft. Benning, GA in Columbus.

Due to an unfortunate turn of events in a recent thread I won't be returning to Bimmerfest. As a result, I would like to eliminate my recent username.
Please change my username to Gone.
Thanks.
Hi guys! I'm going to be a 2004 2.5 Z4 soft top convertible owner very soon (just finalizing documents and all). I trading my 1998 CLK 230 KOMPRESSOR after a number of years enjoying the coupe. This incoming Z4 is my very first convertible car but my 2nd bimmer. I used to own a 2002 BMW X5 Diesel and loved it 'til I traded up to an 04 Cayenne Turbo. You can say that I'm basically trading up to faster cars :-)
Any 'tips' or 'things to watch out for' advises will be greatly appreciated.
My first projects on the Z (other than the regular wear and tear and engine, under chasis, sooling system, a/c, etc. maintenance stuffs) would probably be...
1. New rims and tires (looking at 19" or 20" M6 design with 40 or 35 series tires).
2. Installing DICE (taken out from my X5) for an initial iPod integration OR get a new DENSION GWP1BM4.
3. Installing Paddle Shifters from mrpaddleshift
4. Cosmetics: Change the wood paneling on the dash to either brushed aluminum or carbon fiber.
I've been going through the forums and it seems that there is a lot of meat in the discussion as well as enthusiasm from members. It's nice to be here. Thanks to this wonderful site. Cheers!
Hi all,
Traded in my E46 328i in Feb12 for 2004 3.0i AW/Dream Red, 6spd, Sports/Prem. The mod bug has been with me since I had my E46 back in 04/05 and it has not ceased
Mods so far:
Stubby, Sound Generator Mod, E46 Aux Input, Gaptech RCH+, Windblox Windscreen, Clears (Rear, 3rd, Side), Front Aero Bumper, Red RPI Intake Scoop, Dinan CAI.
Have one of the 1st production Rogue Engineering Race Brace which I will be getting installed soon. Plan on CDV delete and ZHP knob soon.
Soft top drain plugs should be checked ASAP. The drain plugs were poorly designed in our year and the drivers side will pool water on the soft top motor if the drains are not cleared. Replacement of motor requires removal of entire soft top. Plenty of DIY's out there, fairly easy to do without needing to remove the wheels.
Also, do a soft top clean/water repellant. I chose RaggTopp.
Other than that be careful of a lead foot. These cars are insanely fun to drive
Thanks pyo for the tips! Specially in this part of the world where half of the year it rains and floods - the drain plug issue should really be a first in the DIY list. Now I know.
(BTW, OT, You have a very nice ride. where did you get those white / clear tail lights? they look really cool!)
Yup, drain plugs should be on your annual check list.
White/Clear tails were part of the '04 clear lens kit, which is now a discontinued product. This kit was much cheaper than piecing everything together. I'm pretty sure I bought the last kit in the entire USA as the national inventory only showed "1" in stock.
I believe '05 and on, they got rid of all the orange in the lenses. '05 clear rear tails have red rings on both the circles as opposed to mine.
Hong Kong is not the best place to own a sports car of any type, but loving my Z4 since i got it 4 months ago, with some mods on the way.
