How goes it everyone? Signed up prior to buying a 2007 3.0si, black on black with just shy of 70K miles. I've had it about a week now and this is my first BMW... I'm really enjoying it! It's been an adjustment going from a huge Tahoe to this lol but so far only complaint is the lack of a good cupholder. Anyway wanted to drop a line and say hello! I am planning on doing some fluid changes but have yet to come across a repair manual for the 2006-2008 models. Sorry now if I ask some dumb questions if I can't find links to the info I'm looking for, I'm not really a diy car guy but would like to change that! Love the site so far.
Hello everyone,
I just picked up my 2003, silver with a black top, 3.0, 6 speed. What a fun car. I finally sold my 1995 318i convertible last month after 18+ years of ownership.
My new Z has just over 70k miles. It looks stock except for the AFE intake.

Andy - E in Z4 close up.jpg I bought my convertible roadster, black sapphire with beige interior 04, Z4, 3.0I, 48,200 miles in Feb. this year. It has an automatic, sports package. I have enjoyed this little car and I have replaced and repaired several things that are typical issues with these cars. This picture shows my son and grandson enjoying it this Summer in Charleston, SC. USA. I have joined three BMW clubs in NC, SC and Georgia and have met some great BMW people.
I have a couple new issues I'm dealing with now Including - 1. Drivers side door lock not responding to key FOB. 2. trying to eliminating wind noise between side glass and rubber molding. Suspect molding has shrunk with age. Andy suggestions?
I have been a first time BMW owner for 1 year. I own a 2004 BMW Z4, 3.0i, auto, Black Sapphire exterior, Oregon Beige interior, Now has 51,200 miles, Sport package, Premium Package, Convenience Package. Stock car.

After many years of wanting a 2-seater convertible like dad always had around the house (he preferred the British versions), I finally picked myself up a 2004 Z4 on Friday. It's a 3.0i, 6 speed manual, repainted to full blackout after what was described to me as minor front end damage. I suspect it was a little more than just the hood replacement. It drives great and came through a pre-purchase inspection with no major issues. I handled my first repair today...a headlight bulb. Up next are fluids, rear shocks and probably a return of stock roundels to break up the blackout a bit. Other than that, I'm happy to run it around north Georgia as-is. I'm sure the urge to tweak will get me before too long. Looking forward to enjoying the new toy.

Hi all! I have been more of a Mercedes guy (have a SLK and a R series diesel wagon), but my brother just gave me his 2003 Z4 3.0i, silver with black top. He was tired of trying to keep it on the road. I'm much more handy and do my own maintenance, so I don't mind maintaining it, especially when it's free! I guess I can't post pics until I have more posts?
I'm a new owner of a 2008 BMW Z4 3.0i, automatic, white w/ black top and red interior. 86k miles. Had some issues to work thru: New A/C compressor and serpentine belt, repair engine oil leaks, replaced inop radio w/ Alpine CDE-172BT and new antenna. Mechatronic transmission service kit installed, new coolant hoses throughout. Seats recovered with red leather, foam drivers seat pads replaced with added thickness. Passenger seat lower pad replaced w/ OEM unit to repair airbag warning lite always on. Trunk and hood gas struts replaced. Driving/fog lights replaced and mountings repaired. Brake vacuum pump and hose replaced. Front end suspension rebuild kit installed. Windshield cowling replaced.

Hi, new Z4 owner- bought an '05 as a retirement toy today. It's a 2005 2.5l, black/beige leather. Pretty basic with auto (hey- I'm old! ), leather and electric top as only options. Used to ride and restore old airhead Beemers years ago, but this is my first BMW car. Took it through some moderately fast curves yesterday on the way home and was as expected- handles like a good sports car. Looking forward to driving and learning about it.

Just bought this '07 3.0i, monaco blue/beige/beige, manual, 74k miles, no mods. Found it in Kansas, where it has been babied, shipped it to Vermont. My first BMW and convertible. I'm done for, I can already tell.

Just purchased an 03 2.5i , 79K miles . The car is red with black interior , no mods as of yet . I drove three hours in the rain going home after picking it up , got home , opened the trunk , I discovered I had a leak from somewhere . The little carpeted spot beside the battery , the indentation , was full of water , battery area dry though , so thats my first issue I have to sort out . The windshield cowl needs replaced , some paint nicks on the hood , some other little stuff most all eighteen year old cars should have , nothing major . Ill put a pic up once it gets cleaned up .
Check the roof drains in front of the rear wheels. These plug with debris. Usually the audio amp will get fried from the standing water that collects in the battery well. After I cleaned out the drain holes I took and drilled some 1/4 inch drain holes in the plastic battery well box so any water that may collect will drain away.
Have fun with your new toy.

After 6 years of selling my 1.9 Z3 and have always loved the Z4, I finally bought my 2005 2.5 Z4 with 106k miles for $7k. I’m the 3rd owner and the 2nd is an adult owner that didn’t abused the car.
I’m no stranger to BMWs, previous bmw I’ve owned are an E36 Sedan, 540i Sedan, 2 E46s Sedan, Z3 all have been sold but this Z4 will be mine for awhile. Feels so good to finally drive and own a Z4.
I've enjoyed my 2004 2.5 Z4 for 13yrs, sure I could upgrade to the new Z, but why?
I'm sure you'll enjoy yours as much as I do mine, Happy ownership + driving pleasures!
This is the wife's car. I drive a slow diesel truck to stay out of trouble.... 2008, Auto, heated seats, 65k miles. Saw it on a friday evening on our way to dinner sitting in the sellers front yard.
