Hey guys, as I'm supposed to be trying to increase the posting on this board, I think a great way to start is to get to know each other a little better.
A good place to begin the dialogue is to see who has a car similar to yours. Since only a few of the Z4 owners are very active, I (for one) am a little unfamiliar with each of your cars.
Having them in one place will help us find someone to answer our questions and whatnot as well as make fun. So, without futher ado...
THE OFFICIAL BIMMERFORUMS Z4 REGISTRY
Please post year, model, color, major options, modifications, and term of ownership.
Post pics if you like, but remember to black-out your license plates.
Pics?
C'mon! Take the flag and run with it! It's all you baby!
Hi,
New to this forum. A 12-year BMW owner, added a 3.0 Z4 to the garage last summer, (sits next to my '97 M3/4, until my wife moves it to get her van in.)
Jet Black/Beige/Black with most options, will add a picture at some point.
Glad to see that you've started a Z4 owners section.
Regards,
Mike.
welcome to bimmerforums, mike!

Ridge, I decided to be nice. I hate the car's look, I can't get over it, but I think (and hope) that only true enthusiasts post here, and I might as well be nice.
I can't understand how a true enthusiast could like and buy a Z4, but then again, some guys marry fat chicks, and I can't understand that either, so...
I will keep my friendly ribbing going, but nothing more. If I ever get really pissed, I'll just buy the whole forum from Mike and shut it down.

OK, let's see if my pic post works...
By mods, do you mean appearance or performance? This is my first BMW and first roadster (my mid-life crisis car). I'm not much of a car wonk, but it seems there aren't very many credible performance mods out yet for the Z4. Thinking about the aero front end and a couple of other appearance mods over time...
i love that color, up close it almost changes with the lighting....
I love the color combo. Yeah, whatever type of mods.
CHips for the old Z3 3.0 should work, same engine : M54B30 (I'm getting nicer by the minute!)
Is the aero front end... a Z3 front end (getting back to normal ... )

I usually don't like a tan top/interior, but on that body color it looks fabulous.
Thanks. I was originally going to go with a Maldives Blue w/gray. The Toledo Blue was actually an 04 color, but they started putting it on some of the late 03 builds. When I saw it with the beige, I knew that's what I wanted. The Toledo Blue is a great color, has very different hues in different light conditions.

FIRST POST EVER!!
lorenzo, i've got a maldives/beige and it looks really nice, but i must say i like the toledo. I have the 2.5 5 speed automatic (even though its driven in manual sport mode all the time), power top, premium sound, and the 10 spoke 17". I absolutely love the car ... its my first BMW. I had origionaly dreamed of a Z3 (i must agree with you hugo its a sweet ride) but when i saw the sharknose on the z4 with that huge engine bay asking to have a v8 slapped in it... i couldn't resist. it was love from there on out. i'm thinking about starting the mod journey with hmII's. lemme know what you think. anyone seen the hartge m5 5.0 in the z4?? (cream in pants)

Welcome cbn. Looks like we finally have the third Z4 owner... Like you, I also have always liked the Z3 but also like the Z4 very much (despite Hugo's disapproval .

lorenzo ... do you double clutch? if so ... does the 3.0 have a rev limiter installed at the factory? just wondering ...

Well, let's just say I try, not all that smooth at it yet. There doesn't seem to be a rev limiter that I've noticed. ('Course I haven't tried to redline it...) There is a speed governor, set to 155mph, I believe.Originally posted by cbnZ4roadster
