    Best wax for my BMW?

Hi guys I recently purchased a BMW 328i 2007 n black and after over a week of use i started to see the little scratched that the dealership buffed up before selling it. My question to you guys is, for an 07 model the paint is stilllooking as good as ever and i was wondering what is the best black car wax for a bmw that i can use to get the bestlong lasting results.

    Please help! Thank you!

There really is no "best wax." Each wax is a little bit different and works better or worse on certain cars, color paints, etc... To get the best shine, the wax plays a big part, but the most important part is all the work that goes into the paint before you wax.

My car is black sapphire metallic and I use a couple coats of Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant and then I top it with Pinnacle Souvrean or Pinnacle Signature Series II. Ive always gotten good compliments from people that see it.

Would you recommend this for a black 2007 3 series?

I had amazing results on my black e39 with black fire wet diamond sealant. lasts much longer than wax . You can apply this and even apply wax afterwards for a deeper shine if you need to. It is really easy to apply and wipes off with no effort. Also you don't have to worry about it staining trim, etc. i apply it over my windows and all, kinda works liek rainx and can even see the added gloss on them also

If you've really got your heart set on a carnauba, I'd recommend:
Pinnacle Souveran, Victoria Concours, or Dodo Juice Supernatural.
All are beauty waxes and don't last a whole long time but the Vic. Concourse lasts a surprisingly long time compared to the other two. All three look spectacular on my Imola red, and would look equally well on your black.

Yes. I think it looks amazing. Just remember, to get the most shine out of the wax, clay and polish the paint first to remove all the swirls and scratches. If you cant do that, use a glaze to fill the marks in temporarily and then apply sealant and wax over it.

thank you for all the information guys i really appreciate it, the thing is that when i bought this car there wee no scratches whatsover.. but its been rainig here where i live and scratches have been showing up someminor and a pretty big one on the side skirt of the car. i will post pictures. and they are driving me crazy because i think the bmw dealership buffed up the car before selling it to mesince the wekend after i bought it i decided to give it a nice wash with just water since the car was covered in pollen. when i dried it with a towel the towel had black stains on ti like if it was paint. i have barely been driving this car for 2 weeks and i have not had any accidents nada. the scratches just show up when it rains. and its driving me nuts.

I'm wondering if the dealer did a bit of a quick detail on the car prior to you picking it up.

There's a type of product called 'glaze' and it's job is to fill swirls and minor scratches and impart a really good shine.
The good qualities of glazes are the filling and the shine.
The bad qualities of glazes are the filling and the short lifespan. Glazes wash away quickly unless topped with a sealant or wax so I'm thinking this is what you might be seeing.

Since dealers traditionally don't do a good job detailing cars, they're more concerned about profits than a properly detailed car, I'm betting they just used a glaze on the car for it's filling and temporary shine properties.
They didn't worry about the extra time and effort and trouble of applying a topping sealant or wax.
Get the car off the lot, spend as little as possible on the car, get the guy's money and once those wheels roll down the road, move onto the next sale.

    Easy to fix though.

A lot of our customers really like the Zymol concours (pricey!)

Or the cheaper alternative, which is really not bad at all...

    Hope this helps!

Thank you for that info, im taking it to the dealer tonight and explaining them whats going on and if they can atleast do something regarding the side skirt and maybe back bumper since its not really the mtal paint its just the "plastic" if u wanna call it that. i hope they can do something about it because these scratches were nonexistant when i purchased the car

And thank you everyone for your input on the carwax. has anyone used the turtle wax black box for black cars? is this recommended by any chance?

    Thank you guys again

Honestly, you have an awesome car. I know you love it, so use products that you trust. Use Auto Geek or my trusted site and friends here in Hawaii, Pakshak. They have awesome products. Congrats again on purchasing an ultimate driving machine.

I have a black 2009 M3 convertible. I used Klasse AIO and sealant glaze on my car after I bought it. I bought it used from the dealer. Klasse made the car's finish look like glass. The dealer even asked what I used on the after stopping by there.

I bought it at autogeek on their recommendation.

I just used Turtle Wax Black Box. I like it. Here's a picture 1 hour after I applied it. To follow the directions, it takes about 4 to 5 hours to do it right. Sorry the pic is at twilight about 1/2 hour before sunset

It's seems to last and it does get rid of swirls and irritating scratches. I no longer feel like painting the whole car.

On the issue of swirls and scratches with Black Box
it is like a Glaze as described up above, it is filling in these defects and hiding them with the black wax

It would better to actually correct them as opposed to simply filling them, which gets washed away with washes

Seriously worth every penny, you'll love it.

This shot was 2 weeks after application, + an hour driving through rain to a car meet. Didn't clean it prior to this shot:

Same thing was done with my old E46 before I sold it. Wolfgang Sealant, and the Dodo Juice HC and RB
