Hey, do you know 'richinvan'? he's getting the E21 tail light upgrades, this would be a nice improvement for your 323i too! Even benefits Euro tails without deleting rear fogs (if you have them).

I'll send you a pm on the E23 lights, maybe better / bigger pics will help to show what they look like, compared to stock. Winter hibernation is the best time to do something like this, since you can't drive it without the lights anyway. And it can be really affordable, too, since I am running a sale and want to get more light on the road as cheaply as possible.

ordered a new wastegate today went with a precision 39mm wastegate from ctsturbo, now waiting on moosehead for the flange and we'll have an open dump wastegate

Newer technology. Its got the original wastegate and the spring is not holding the boost like it probably should. Plus i can change the springs on the wastegate when i turn up the boost to 14psi

Let me know if you are insterested in headlight protection film and higher output bulbs for those Euro headlights, or high output tails in the E23 OR E21. Lots of options available to 'Be seen, and Not Hurt'! Inexpensive protection from unconscious drivers.

Ordered left and right engine mounts, some misc hoses that are cracked and my rear hood seal which has deteriorated. Shopping for parts is fun!

Anyone got any input into what colours i should powdercoat my intake manifold, valve cover and intercooler piping? Im thinking Gloss or semi gloss black to match the already black intercooler piping, new wastegate and the already black parts under the hood! Thanks!

well fuck, i got those euro grill and lights off ebay, dont fit. I didnt realise ive got the large turn signals in the front and no chrome on the bottom of the grill and these have the smaller turn signals chrome on the bottom of the grill. So if anyone is looking for a euro grill set with the smaller turn signals and chrome on the bottom of the grill ive got it.

these wheels came up for sale and after doing some investigation i found i couldn't pass them up,

17x8 Nardi Wheels made by BBS, 3 piece, use same barrels and lips as rs's.

plan is either to build to 18s using rotiform barrels and lips or get new lips and run them as 17s.

Make sure George at Moosehead knows the elbows they made previously does not clear the e23 body. Also, the material the are using for the flange may not hold up in the long run. I know people are looking into making a cast version that has the correct angle to clear the body. Here is mine just to show you how it didn't clear. They need to modify the 90* bend.




Even if you got it over the studs, there is no way you could mount anything on top

Thanks for the pics i was wondering about those. I'm not a machinist but what about just an adapter to go from stock flange to tial. I would think it would only be a few inches tall so clearance might be good.
