Y'all ought to know who was the father of the Z3 from the design-perspective.
That man is Joji Nagashima whom holds 22 design patents as of 2007 and was responsible for the creation of the Z3 roadster, E39 5-series, and E90 3-series sedan.

I have to go with the e39 as one of the most beautiful BMWs produced IMHO.
Mods: Remus 76mm exhaust, CDV delete, ASA AR1 18in staggered wheels, Turner 12 mm spacers, custom red tails, Kenwood deck/Sirius/BT/USB, ZHP knob, Redline boot, LeatherZ armrest, Amsoil all around, red needles, Akebono Euro brake pads, 34k original miles!
