Here is the one I was thinking of. We have had this on Baurspotting "Baurs for Sale " page since last fall. As you can see, the ad was from Hemmings. A left coast car. Could this be the same car, perhaps? Just curious.... another Small Baur World example?

Someone named "autobahn' emailed this link to me tonight. I am trying to reach the owner, but, for now, this is all we know. We do know of an unidentified Baur out in the Cincinnati area, but it is a different (Hennarot) color. (Incidentally, we know that that one is owned by an Erik H. in Kettering, but we have not been able to contact him yet.)
So, the Baur below could be a NEW FIND! Thank you, autobahn!
Do we have anyone in the Cincinnati area to check on this for us??
Stay tuned.

I bought this car two years ago as a project car. I've put a lot of money and time into refurbishing it, but now need to pass it off to someone else to complete.
The car is Alpina white, and has less than 97,000 original miles. All the parts of the convertible top are in working condition, but it needs a new plastic back window. There is also a small separation along one of the seams, which can be repaired. There are some scratches and paint chips, and a small dent on the front left fender. The rubber valance on the bottom of the front bumper is missing.
Below is a list of improvements since I purchased it:
Installed rebuilt manual transmission (Less than 500 miles since installed)
New Sachs Sport Clutch (Less than 500 miles since installed)
New Tires (Less than 500 miles since installed)
Replaced Gas Tank (Old one had Rust)
New in-tank and Outer Fuel Pumps
All new Fuel Lines
Replaced Belts
New JVC AM/FM/CD Player with AUX Jack and Bluetooth with Remote
New Battery
New Spark Plugs
New Fan Clutch
Replaced Air Flow Meter
Replaced Door Panel Pockets and Door Handle
Replaced Drivers Side Door Window Motor
Fuel Injectors Professionally Cleaned
Small Parts Replaced (Brake Fluid Reservoir Cap, Dash Trim, etc.)
I have the receipts for all the above repairs/parts.
In addition:
Adjusted Valve Clearance to proper specs
Replaced old seats and Door Cards with better looking and better working ones
Replaced Broken Center Console
Replaced Front Seat Belts
Replaced Shift Knob and Boot
Dozens of other small repairs over hundreds of hours
The car is in good overall condition and runs very well. I'm located in Los Angeles, CA.
The title is clean and clear, the car is street legal, and registered through 7/2013.
For those of you who want to check it by VIN - WBAAA710009169307
I'm not looking for low-ball offers, those are easy to find. I'm looking for someone who knows and appreciates a BMW Baur and wants one for themself.
I'm not in a big hurry to sell, so for now I'm talking offers. Please respond to the address above with any questions or to make an offer.

Tom this may have been converted after it was sold because option code # 829 convertible conversion Preparation is missing ? The interior is listed as Antrazit and that doesn't look like a black interior to me I know he states he replaced it , the steering wheel installed in the vehicle is a M-technic one not a II as indicated.
There is something strange about this car.
May be the VIN is entered incorrectly.

Tom,
Thanks for posting that; I'm looking forward to checking out the rest of that publication.
Even though the text if too small to read, the graphic appears to suggest that Baur reinforced our cars around the doors. I never realized that; I thought that all of the Baur mods had been performed above the beltline.
