Good work on the TC1 Ed
@6pk; looks like a good starting point, with a new roof. Be aware that you need the front plastic part of a car build before 9/85.
Here some rust-pictures of the 541:
More rust than floor...

omg i love these
Tomscat,
Great story about Ed, Rodney B. and the two white Baurs -- thanks!
BimmerFunStuff,
Welcome to the E30 community. I'm glad to hear that you like Baurs as much as we do. These unique Bimmers are sometimes more obtainable than one might guess; mine practically fell into my lap through a convergence of good fortune (for me -- sadly, not so much for the seller).
1) I belong to BMW CCA and the Asheville Area Coordinator provided me with an "early alert" regarding the car's availability ;
2) the car was less than fifty miles distant ;
3) it was offered at a "divorce sale" price ;
4) I actually had the money for it because I had sold another collector car just six weeks prior ; and
5) I was the first one to show up on the seller's doorstep with the money !
As Forrest Gump famously observed, "Funny how things work out". As I don't often have the luck of Forrest Gump (or Ferris Beuhler), I am most grateful for the opportunity to own this fine car.

There is a red E30 Baur in Athens, Greece. I used to see it every morning on my way to work. Do you need coordinates to put in on the Google map?
Hi Petros,
I'd rather have some pictures + Baur-number
Greetings, Jeroen
OK, I'll try. By number, do you mean the VIN?
Hi Petros,
I will post it on the Google map for the Baur TC2.... please post specific info on the car , if you have it: year, model, Baur plate number (if you have it.... on the E30 it is located on the driver's door jamb). Any details on the car are much appreciated! I do not need the coordinates.
I have some catching up to do on that map! It has been a busy season!

Monday, a friend of mine bought a 323iA TC2. We brought it home together:
It's the B41922-15, with a brown roof!

Jeroen,
Nice find; congrats to your friend.
What does the "A" suffix in 323iA indicate?

Tom,
That is what I suspected; thanks. I had never before seen the fitment of an automatic trans to a Bimmer expressed as a model suffix.

There isn't a 323iA-script on the back, it's just a way to say it's an automatic :-)
It has a perlbeige leather interior and now stands on 15" BBS, as it should ;-)
It is a quite complete car with powersteering, ABS, electric windows and it had headlightwhipers.
I think that I will have better pictures next week. When we got it, it rained the complete day! Not the weather you want driving your "new" Baur :-)

I may have found a 2002 Baur for sale here in New England, If it's for real and the price is what I have been told I going to purchase it .

Congrats to THEPOOLEMAN! He has just been ON FIRE lately with the stuff he has been doing!
First, he found the NH Baur that we have been looking for for about 6 months!
http://baurspotting.blogspot.com/2012/06/found.html
http://baurspotting.blogspot.com/2012/06/long-sought-new-hampshire-baur.html
Then, a few days later, I posted this, about a BMW 700 Baur that we came across right here in bimmerforums:
http://baurspotting.blogspot.com/2012/06/bmw-700-baur-in-los-angeles-ca.html
To which THEPOOLEMAN added this, and more:
"Tom There is one located in Massachusetts ( greater Boston if not in the city )
I have pics of it from a show I attended four or five years ago, the pics are on one of my older computers I have been meaning to get fired up and retrieve them pictures. There are also some pics of the white 2002 Baur here in New Hampshire."
"I looked in the old computer and was unable to find them however I was at show and shine ( bav auto sport ) and these pics were still up I hope I can use them ???"
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...7#post24489267
Then I posted this from bimmerfest 2009, which shows 3 Baurs: this grey TC2 (below), a red wide body TC2, and a lime green 2002 Targa.
http://baurspotting.blogspot.com/2012/06/baurs-at-bimmerfest-ca-2009.html
This is the grey TC2:
And THEPOOLEMAN again reaches into his magic hat and comes up with THIS GEM! Check this out!

Thank you Tom I think the owner of the Grey TC2 ownes DTM fiberwerks.
I still have the issue of Euro tuner the car featured in.
I have a new Baur I am tracking here in NH.
I know that there is a clone to my car just north of the lakes reagon maybe around Plymouth NH. I know they service at an independent BMW repair shop up there and I have reached out to them on at least two occations and have had no response from them my thought is they are not BMW/car enthusiasts and own a Baur. I will keep my eyes open for that vehicle.
Then there is the Alpine white 2002 Baur in southren NH I met the owner in 2007 I had his contact information and misplaced it. I have pics of that car and I'll post them later.

Who da thought that New Hampshire would be such a hotbed of Baur action! By my reckoning, that makes 4 Baurs up that way: your TC2 and the TC2 clone you just mentioned; the TC1 Baur that you just found in Nashua last week; and now the 2002 Targa!
And they are are all white Baurs! What is up with that?? Hmmm. NH is one of the few states where, due to weather conditions, a white Baur would be considered to be in camouflage!

Here's some pics of the 02 Baur I took them in 2007 at Bavarian Auto sport Oktoberfest, As I said i had the owners information and lost it. I do remember he was from the Nashia area so I'll keep my eyes peeled.
As for the 2002 Baur for sale here in New England I mentioned I think I was being played by someone, A 2002 Baur for $6,000.00 that is too good to be true unless it's a pile of parts.
As for all the Baur's in New Hampshire being white, We are a rather Vanilla state !

Tomscat,
I dunno . . . the absence of rear quarter windows makes that Sunchaser look a bit akward with the rear top raised.
The E24 Baur, on the other hand, looks pretty cool; wneh folded, the rear top is quite well-integrated with the bodywork. I would definitely like to see more photos / read more details about these Baurs. I must admit that I have a soft spot for Sixers . . .
