    AGM Braille battery.
Thought you were just going with the OEM battery?

    too many...
i am having the same issue right now...

was out of town for 2 weeks, came back and coupe fired right up. couple of days later batter was totally dead, charged it and a few days later dead again. its is like a 4 year old interstate battery that came with the car.

i am thinking of getting the oem one, tischer is listing it as 96.00 which seems like a good price

    Coupes...
Yeah, but Tisher has to charge you shipping.

And my local stealership didn't seem to be able to find one.

The new BMWs come with AGM batteries, so I guess they should be ok.

This one also has lots of reserve charge.

    2001 Z3 2.5i Roadster
I just bought a 2001 Z3 2.5i, and the battery dies after a couple days. I noticed that when I put the car cover over it, it sounds like a relay/contactor cycles every few minutes, possibly associated with a proximity sensor. I have done some searches for things to do before covering the car, but have yet to find anything that would indicate something that would cause this.
I have not done the basics on identifying battery age, alternator output voltage, etc., because I suspect there is something associated with putting the car cover over the vehicle.
    Any ideas?
