So an S62 or S65 would not be a good engine for a 507 Rep? V8 -> V8 after all...
Elvis car had a SBC then nothing when they found it. You can see the SBC headers in the restoration pictures as they picked up the Red car
I am building a 507 Replica and looking for interest in the community. I own the only set of fiberglass BMW 507 body molds in the world and I am building the car on a BMW chassis. Investors would be great as its going slow because its all self funded and I also have bodies for sale if you want to build your own!
+1 and +1. I can offer my employment ifnwhen you do get funding.
Kickstarter?
I own mostly junk. Except the Porsche, that's kind of cool.
All the motorcycles are trash which you can read about at

I'll update it eventually

@507replica how much for a body ? What’s your contact number ? Your in Cali yes ?
In the 80s, I owned both a 507 (70186) and a 503. The 503 was stolen by the owner of a Dallas shop who closed his shop immediately after the body was stolen. I still own the motor. I now own a 1958 503 that has been beautifully restored. I need air filter inserts for the Knecht air filters (x2).
Lol. Just read through this whole thread.
The current community seems a little more productive than it previously was.

I would be interested to see a replica made. M30 would be an awful choice of motivation. The Rover nee Buick v-8 would rather look the part, widely available and serviceable.
