i've heard it's always around the $10k mark in addition to the price of the car, in other words not woth the trouble unless you want the car really, really, really want the particular car.......
just out of curiosity have you ever owned or do you know anyone who owns a E34 M5?........$$$$$..they're maintenance is more involved than that of an M3...$$$$$$........and don't even ask about repairs if it breaks........$$$$$$$......
That is around average price, how much would be in the US then?
for average prices in the US go to.... http://www.roadfly.org/bmw/classifieds/cars/ Good examples of E34 M5's still sell in the $20k-30k range.....
That looks like its in England, not Germany.
it would be much easy to just buy one here so you dont have to deal with customes and making it legal

My moms friends husband has a daytona m5. The clutch on that thing is awesome. I love that car. Importing it and maintenance is going to be a bitch tho.
if I got it the first thing I would do is put the throwing stars back on. E34 M5s don't look right without throwing stars IMO.
