1985 BMW E23 745i Turbo Executive version
5 Speed Manual 115,200 Miles $3950
I have owned this car since December 2008 and driven it only infrequently. It is not perfect, the paint is ten footer, the driver’s interior door handle needs replacing (part furnished) Before it came to me it spent its life in Southern California and Colorado according to the AutoCheck report (ask me for a copy)and two of the prior owners I spoke with. Car has no rust.
Metallic Blue with cream leather interior, factory glass moon roof, heated adjustable seats, front and rear. Seats have no rips or tears or worn spots Tires are serviceable and rims are 15”.
It was converted to Getrag 265 5 speed manual transmission by the second owner from a low mileage ’85 735i, just as it should be. Pedals and shifter areas look just like the factory made them on 735’s. I know, I had a few. Shifter needs a firm hand: First and Reverse sometimes need a “toe-up” (your toe under the clutch pedal to lift it all the way up before depressing it to shift gears) when the clutch gets hot.
Such conversions are rare: if you do the research you will find only a handful. As I understand it, there is no such thing as a factory manual transmission on this car except possibly 1or 2 test cars.
All belts, hoses, pump, t-stat, sensors and other maintenance items were replaced at 99,000 miles. All 6 cylinders register 150-155 PSI compression across the board. Car runs on synthetic oil and engine is very clean.
The climate control system was inoperable at delivery to me from California and has now been overhauled: panel buttons and knobs provide heat as expected, new blower motor installed and works as it should. No AC: pipes in the engine bay appear to be missing and I am not an AC fan so did not attempt that.
There is a slight bump to the driver side rear body panel above the bumper and the bumper has been pushed in a bit. The light bezel and light function are undamaged.

Hi,
I'm new to the forum and am not sure if this is the best way to contact someone.....But in any case, I am thinking about getting a E23 and wondered if you would be willing to have a conversation with me. My Mom-in-law lives in Warwick...and I noticed your sweet 745 and the interesting changes you are making. No pressure...
