90k miles (145k km's) on my 1992 735iL.
Still have original engine and manual transmission. Original electrical and computer board. Original wheels. Original paint. Original Cat. Orig exhaust. Some rust on qtr panels (need to do that). Original in-dash GPS Nav still works. Harmon-kardon still great. Always synthetic oil. Always 91+ octane.
Original e46, had sub-frame metalurgy problem, BMW eventually covered $3K bill.
Replaced most of the plastics, aero and vapor capture, coolant circulation.
A few A/C compressors.
Replaced auxiliary fan controller (design defect, no recall).
Replaced rack (I think)
Replaced u-joint (I think)
Lots of control arms and bushings
Recent brake caliper
Upgraded shocks and struts
Lots of brakes and rotors
4-5 tuneups
Lots of headlights
O2 x 3 and speed sensors (once?)
Mass air handler
Front window regulators
Replaced 2 radiators
Could use a P/S pump
About $1500-$2000/yr maintenance and upkeep.
Get a scan at the dealer every few years.
3 clutches, about every 100k, usually it’s the throwout bearing
187000 on my 97 m3. Just bought it, other than the test drive, started tearing it apart immediately once I got home to redo the suspension.
2740 on my 2015, 228i. Being retired I’d don’t have a daily commute.

Just got a 309,000 km 1997 540i
Previous owner babied her
Recent guides replacement
How do I post a pic of her? I CANT STOP STARING AT HER!!
We recently sold my wife's '05 X3 with 230K miles on it. A great vehicle we were both sad to say goodbye to, we sold it because my past experience with cars is that after 200K miles things start going bad regularily. Wanted to avoid that. We got her an '05 X1 with 50K miles on it as a replacement. Speaking of miles I sold my '87 325 at 330K miles many years ago, like the X3 it also still ran well when I sold it.
28500 on my 2015

sitting at 187,xxx on my 97 M3. Only owned for a few months so far...huge money pit!
e46 M3 coupe is at ~150,000 total miles, and should be crossing over 20,000 track miles this year-- every one of them (both types) with me at the wheel.
e39 M5 is at ~185,000 miles
e46 M3 wagon is at ~200,000 miles (drive train has nearly identical mileage to chassis)
e39 530i is at ~235,000 miles
Also of them on original engine/trans/diff/ecu except for the 530i (which I bought with a failed automatic and converted to manual). All of the originally 6mt cars are on the original clutch other than the M3 coupe, which I foolishly preventatively replaced at ~100,000 miles (it still looked brand new, so I won't be doing that again).
All of them have had every bushing/bearing/ball joint replaced at 100,000 miles, to keep them driving like new. Same for the cooling system.
I guess I get bored less easily than others?
86 528e - 287k total, including time inherited by my son. He left the windows open when he went on vacation. Mechanically it was probably good for at least another 20k, maybe more. Wasn't worth the stench, though.
88 325i - 160k or so before traded in on a Z3 in '98. in great shape when traded, could easily have gotten much more out of it.
93 740i - 192k when traded in on a 330Cic in 2005.
01 X5 - less than 3yr/50k as warranty ran out after 6 major claims. The last one occurred a week before warranty ended. Left it at dealership and drove home an 00 325i wagon (used, of course).
00 325i wagon - 205k, gifted to a friend a couple of years ago. friend is still driving it, not sure about the mileage now, but likely approaching 225k
I also had an 89 325iC that lived 2400 miles away (near corporate HQ, I traveled a lot then) that I picked up with about 80k from a series of college students. After sorting out the various issues, it made it to 156k before being sold about 10 years later by my daughter, who had inherited it about mid-way through that time.
01 330Cic - 201k when traded in yesterday for a '15 640i convertible
Other than the Z3 (which was on a lease) and the X5 (which was a seriously bad lemon), they've all been very durable. Not problem free, but if you keep up on the maintenance, they tend to last a long time.
I bought my 1st BMW at a Tent sale in Jan 2016. I liked the stereo. It is a 2009 BMW 328i x drive Coupe. The stereo is made by Harmon Kardon.
It just hit 94000 miles and is under a 15 year 150000 SULEV warranty, just had it in for 2 recalls to be fixed and they found work that needed to be done that was under warranty
Then I bought a used private party 2013 BMW 328i 2 door coupe RWD. Came with a car cover a dash cam and it just hit 20000 miles. I am the 3rd owner and bought at 4000 miles. It goes fast and can peel out also. The rear tires are bigger than the front tires. Both vehicles have 2 doors and pedal shifters. I am thinking of selling them both to buy 1 newer BMW with the Harmon Kardon stereo and same engine and coupe w sunroof only. White or Silver I also have a truck but I need 2 cars and I get bored with cars fast lol
Now at 360 XXX Kms. Recently changed brake rotors, pads, e brake pads and hardware, all brake hoses, front struts etc. and front wheel bearings.
I purchased a BMW 3 Series 328d brand new and I have 298,621 on it and it still runs great! I must say the maintenance is no joke, but I have had a mechanic for the last 2 years; that has cut down the cost to about 1/2 as much. For example, he only charges me $650 for brakes where the dealership charges $1200. I will buy another Bimmer one day.
175K miles on my S54 Coupe. Still on the original engine, tranny, and even clutch.
I also imagine it’s had a rougher life than most M Coupes.
1996 328i with 224k miles and brand new transmission. Traded a 04 Neon SRT4 big turbo car I built 5 years ago that had rod knock😂
