M3 Limited Slip Repair

Sorry, y'all. I have no idea what happened. The pics were initially lost in a BF.com migration several years ago, but were hosted by how2bmw.com or something. I guess they closed up shop.

Best I can suggest is to go to corner-carvers.com and search for "tommy m3 repair" or something like that. I had a thread over there, too, but it wasn't in as much detail, IIRC.

Sorry to revive old thread.
I'm looking everywhere and I cant find... the backlash freeplay... what is it ? i think somewhere i seen that it's from 0.06 to 0.14mm....
I'm actually rebuilding a medium case bmw diff (for e30 325i) and installing OBX torsen LSD unit in it...

Hey y'all,

I'm about to begin repairing a '95 M3 3.15 LSD diff I bought used. As a refresher, upon pulling the drain plug, I stuck my finger into the differential and felt something loose. I removed the rear cover and these are what I found.....

Four mangled bolts in the bottom of the housing:
