    "Wow, that's really thick,"

    ... s'what she said.

    22mm stock versus 27mm RD.

The outermost mounting holes (softest setting) are exactly the same distance from the center of the swaybar as the stock piece, so even on the softest setting it is quite a bit stiffer than stock.

Turn in is fantastic and the car is well balanced. No more understeer than stock at steady state, and it still reponds to trail braking by working the rear tires. Can't wait for a test 'n tune..

    Are you compensating for something??:

Looks cool. So is that a front or a rear sway bar??: Looks like a rear and since you said you got rid of your understeer.

    Just curious

    All front.

And a front bar on a car with stock springs with reduce understeer by stopping the roll from side to side. This also allows John to stop bitching about the lack of camber in the front. He doesn't need as much now.

    (ding)

Anyway for SCCA Stock rear bars must remain stock. Not an ideal setup, but it's the only way to set up a car which is camber limited and has a strut suspension.

Older Hondas with double wishbone front suspension will actually be faster with NO front bar in my experience because the camber curve is so good. Also because a front anti roll bar on a FWD will limit corner exit traction.

Though the shocks helped a bunch... and the car is surprisingly fast in stock condition, this is pretty ridiculous:

Heh, that pic was taken on my first run ever with the M3, and the tires weren't even broken in yet. I got owned at that SCCA event.

I bet the body roll was even more pronounced after the Victos broke in and actually started making grip

Hell man, I have mad respect for a lot of Hondas. I have wanted (another) '89-'91 Si Civic for some time. They are hard to find though.

Actually that gen Civic (a DX with an Si motor) has won STS at Topeka two years running I believe. All this new iron out and it gets own3d by a 12-13 year old car.

Imagine how quick M3s could be if they had a decent front suspension!

Too bad the chassis are about as stiff as a wet rag and the wrong wheels are driving. Try running the next event backwards Andy.

I tell you what... That Prelude is really nice on an autox. Better turn-in and less understeer than my car. I jumped in his car for a fun run and on my first try in his car, beat my best time in mine by 2 seconds without pushing it hard. AND the 4WS wasn't working (POOR!).

hmmmm... then again, he DOES have Bridgestone S03s. Cheater. :
