(via RCBMW on MyE28.com): What actually distinguishes this E28 M5 (S/N 2875046) is that it was among the few cars fitted with the Pioneer KE-81ZBM anti-theft stereo cassette radio with joystick control-- all others used the Alpine CM5907 radio.


This M5 car does have an ownership story... Owner (my Father) was the founding president of Ferrari Club of America... Here is a link to the club's history ... The picture of the invitation to meeting #2 shows that it was held at our home... Dad, in his late 80s, continues to be an enthusiast... even though he drives much less frequently and has dialed back the throttle a little. He currently has a 540i for daily work and a Boxster (the 50th year edition) for some of the local trips... The M5 was a little more practical at the time for a man with a garage full of Ferraris (212 Vignale and a SWB Berlinetta)...
