    Thanks...
I did Alex, I just had no time to wait (moving) and needed to wrap up the car. Igor was very pleasant to work with, and I actually can't say I'm sad about not getting the carbon fiber. The fiberglass piece is a masterpiece.

Guys: This is NO DOUBT the best delete panel you can get right now, and most likely will be for years to come. If you're impatient or you're going to paint it anyways, go ahead with the fiberglass version. If not, the carbon fiber panel will be WORTH the wait. My photos and review are already up on their website:

I finished the install in less than an hour, and that included sealant!

I though about the tape transfer trick, but I found it much easier and more precise to do the following:

    -Test fit panel
    -Trim (if needed)
-Insert original hardware/screws all the way in
    -Paint heads of screws
-Test fit panel again, pressing upwards
    -Remove panel, drill marked holes
-Install panel, install screws to retain panel
-Mask topside of roof, use silicone sealant, peel tape and let cure 24-72 hours

Yup, just throwing another option out there. What are the plans for the car?

Finally got a chance to finish my roof up, all done!
Couple of changes with the install, instead reusing factory screws I went ahead and used 3/16 Aluminum rivets, 1'' Aluminum washer and 1'' and 1/4 rubber washer.

Is there a weight difference between the carbon and fiberglass panel? How much do each weigh?

Hard to tell but it looks nice.
Questions if you don't mind: Did you use PE, VE, or Epoxy? What is the Tg of the resin you are using? Is is the laminate schedule only carbon?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
In the way they are the same. You are looking at about 2.5 to 3lbs.
We use automotive grey primer as a first layer in the fiberglass version.
As to carbon version we use as a first layer UV protected marine clea rcoat and the same amount on layers of glass and Epoxy...

    Thank you,
    Alex

    Hi,

We use Epoxy, can't stand anything else... Tg is about 200 room temp drying and can be ramped up with prograssive temp... If you mean do we use carbon as a fist layer and then fiberglass backing, then Yes! It is all price driven...

    Thank you,
    Alex

Also, if anybody planning on ordering Please let us know as to what type of car you guys have. 2 or 4 door version, since after cutting another roof off today we found out that 2 and 4 door cars have a different roof pattern as to mounting location.

    Thank you,
    Alex

Good answers, I think your openness about this is commendable. Also glad to hear you are using epoxy and with a Tg of 200 that is plenty high enough to avoid print through/distortion. Keep up the good work.

I'm interested in seeing the carbon version when it's completed. If I do buy then it's for my coupe.

    Hi,

I thought I should share some of the new picture of the recently pulled panel out of the mold...

Best pics to date, as you might have noticed I am not that good of a photographer.

Also, thank you for all of the comments and remarks. We are constantly working to improve our Carbon Version. We hope to have them released soon.

We are also in the process in producing E30 version as well... Hope to have those in 1 month ready.

    Thank you all...

How long until you have a CF E36 coupe panel ready? I'm going to order soon, as the OEM sunroof in my car is acting up, and rather than wasting time trying to fix it, since I planned on removing it eventually anyways I'd prefer to just do it now.
