Bookmarked. If I go this way, I will definitly want to consider this one. That really does seem the best fit of any I've seen.

    Exactly! On Ebay...

I am not about to start a price war, I have my reasons...

    1. Not a drop in unit! (That is why I did it myself)
    2. You will end up with a 1/4" of black silicone around it
    3. Requires ton of work (Special aligning block, brackets and more)
(Please refer to his thread on bimmerforums )

    Thank you!

    $255 + $25 shipping...

This option makes it a very easy decision.

OP - I'd like a Carbon Fiber version the second you have one ready to go out (325i Sedan). Great job on fitment.

Not trying to heckle you, just wanted the clear up some mis leading info. The ebay version is a drop in unit. You use stock mounting hardware, and bolts, it's predrilled aswell. There wasn't any special tools needed. I just removed mine to sell in under 2 minutes, as my car was just totalled
The clear coat was kinda crappy on it though, I will admit. Maybe yours is of better quality.

I might possibly be interested in this.

How easy is the installation process and removal of the cassette/rail/etc?

I'm somewhat of a noob when it comes to DIY stuff, but I can take care of fairly simple tasks and I have removed the headliner on my car before.

Real easy, just a bunch of screws for the grab handles, visors, then yank the A/B/C pillars. Helps to have two people when removing it from the car however, it's pretty awkward.

looks like it fits superb. I've been told removing your sunroof will save you roughly 70lbs. - is this true?

Not usually, you just need to find an appropriate silicone sealant that won't break down from heat/sun/UV

    Hi Spyke,

I see you have changed your mind and gotten yourself the fibergalss vesion instead... We are still working on Carbon Version, just trying to perfect it. We do believe in perfection instead of !#$!

    Thanks...

    To answere EddiesM3 Question.

We are in the process of producing E30 and E46 Fiberglass and Carbon Version delete panels... Just have to take a ride to our friend and customer in San Diego ( Midnightoit motors ) and pick up the E46 to make a copy of the sunroof panel.

    Thank you,
    Alex
