i brought my car into a good mechanic shop for a tech session today -'95 ///M3 with 114,500 miles- and got a *FREE* inspection
this is what they found:
problems:
-guibo going bad
-need new RTAB's
-front/right strut leaking
-need to flush/bleed brake system
-already knew about bad t-stat & i am going to replace WP anyway at the same time already has a (fairly) new radiator
not too bad for a 8/9 year old car w/ 114K+ miles on it (just the basic problems of an E36 ///M3)
fixes?:
-got the "fan delete kit" and new WP already (waiting to be installed)
-i am going to get bilstein sport struts and keep the stock springs
-where to get a new guibo? how much? hard hard/much to replace?
-where and what RTAB's to get? how much for them? (going to pay for them to be installed probably)

These items are covered a lot. Try a search, I'm sure you'll find everything you need to know about how to DIY.

Many places quote 3-4 hours to replace RTAB's. Figure the average labor price is $80 an hour, so it will probably be close to $300 to install the RTAB's.
