Stock M20 with o-ring block, ARP headstuds
    93 OCT
    Ebay OBX manifold adapter
    AGP/BW 256 turbo running 1 bar
    44mm TIAL wastegate
    2.5" piping/3" exhaust

This is mostly street tuned. I have not tuned it on a dyno or try to get too aggressive....I also find that the M20 loves to be just a tad bit rich....13 to 14 AFRs for nice transition/cruising. Around 15.5, the car feels like it is too lean, stutters a bit, slight bucking

When I get some more time, I plan to add another row down at the bottom of my VE map and make my % values the similiar on both the VE and Ignition mapsAttachment 530061VE table.jpgSpark table.jpg

I posted in my dyno thread but got no responses, so I'll try it here. I'm just seeking some weigh-in on the timing numbers prior to actually testing on the dyno which will be a while off from now.

The tuner dyno'd my car with 98RON in the tank and bumped up the timing a bit around the 180-200kpa range. On E85, I understand you can run a few more degrees safely in the upper RPM regions and on boost.

So, keeping things as smooth as practical, I've added some more timing to it, but just a couple of degrees overall.

How does that look for an M50TUB28 with 8.5:1 on 107RON E85?

    Thanks
    Pete

    Nutzy:

I see that you've set big premature ignition even at low speeds.
That's the maximum you can take your pre-ignition engine?

I wanted to give something to compare to, I tired to convert load values to KPA. This is an estimation of kpa it really is not perfect, especially down low (<125kpa)

What fuel and compression? Seems really conservative either way.

93 pump, 9:1 i think theres 50-100 more in it if i can get it to stop pulling timing. Also going to add probably 4* around the 125/3-4k range. Just need to get on the dyno

Here is my current table. It was not dyno tuned, I just made it using some math and guesstimates. I have only tested it up to about 230 kpa or so. No knock on E85 and 12:1 compression. This is aggressive timing so you will need to back off for pump gas.

wow 12:1 with those values is really aggressive, even on e85. I'm at 10.2:1 and I was worried I was being too aggressive lol. Good stuff!

Hello. Could you send me a stock spark ignition timing map of the M50B25 engine which does not have the Vanos unit? Thanks in advance.

Can somebody confirm me, that this ignition map is conservative enough to be a starting map ? I have checked multiple maps on internet and this is the result.

    Engine fully stock M52.
    100 oct gas.
    0,7 bar max boost.
