Torsten
torsten, this is modified ignition table or stock for m52b28 ?
PS. Maybe here is similar thread for fuel tables ?
Justik, it goes above atmospheric, so must be modified
and the timing looks way too conservative to be stock at full (atmospheric) load
pretty sure thats what he has produced so far

uk525td, interesting will be compare two ignition tables for stock atmospheric and for turbo.
well in theory, the timing up to atmospheric should be the same should it not? maybe even a little more advanced due to running lower comp ratios.
Ive seen NA tunes on m50's pushing 30 degrees or more, not saying its right...(on my research for my own setup)

torsten, Did you go to dyno run ? How many hp did you get from that engine ?
PS. As I see from screenshot you use megasquirt ecu, why don't setup factory ecu ?
Here is the timing table for our stock S62 11/1 CR with E85, locked Vanos. This is a safe tuning in order to limit torque. Dynoed at 500hp - 720 Nm

Why you don't increase boost ? 12psi is too few for your cr 8.3:1. I think you can increase boost up to 20psi without any problem ...Yes, I did a dyno run. I pulled 360hp / 530Nm with euro 98ROZ gas and 12psi of boost.
Because the euro version of the M52 engine has a alusil block instead of the iron block.
Know I'm on 16psi -> anythings fine so far...
I know, because I have euro spec 328 I thought if you changed pistons for lower CR, you also had done something with block(put iron cylinder sleeves for example).Because the euro version of the M52 engine has a alusil block instead of the iron block.
Bump because there is some decent info in here. Still amazed there is not a bigger database.
Here's my current table..
conservative in boost.. Shell 91 oct (Canada, no Ethanol).
tuned to ~200kpa
2.9L M52 (85.5mm bore, M52 crank, 8.8:1 CR, S52 cams, M52 head).

Notorious VR those #s are super conservative
yup, and i mentioned that... i'm still having issues and don't want to push it until I figure it all out. So for now the car is pretty soft.
I have this nagging misfire/popping/lean stumble (not sure what it is), that seems to be quite random and only really apparent under light/med loads (although my dyno video of my exhaust shows random big puffs of black smoke as if there were misfire events). Nothing so far that I've tried has fixed the issue it's quite frustrating.
Hello ignition map which would you recommend to me?
my motor settings:
engine block: m50b25 85,05mm
crankshaft: m52b28
connecting rod: m50b25 NV
pistons: m44b19
head: m50b25 NV
electrical installation: m50b25 Van +knock senzors
CR: 7,5:1
fuel: Ethanol E85
content 2861ccm
MS2 Extra
turbo holset hx40
idle 900rpm
limiter 7000rpm
max boost 22psi
Thank
7.5 cr and e85 seems wrong.
Which map Would be the best for my setup?
all those above maps will be conservative for 7.5cr and e85.
thank you
