Well like the thread name states, the dome lights arnt turning off when i close the doors.. i got this dome light from a bone yard so i am wondering if thats the problem?... Any in-put would be great

There are 3 positions for the toggle switch, always on, always off, on when doors are open/off when doors are closed. Try the other 2 positions first. Then make sure you have it wired correctly.

how long did you wait, there's a delay before it turns off...

It will not turn off until about 20secs after you close the door or lock the door. And you cannot touch the outer driver or passenger door handle as that will illuminate the inside of the car when having the auto on/off "mode".

Wow..... thanks for stating things that i know...i know about the 3 postions i know the lights dont turn off right away when you lock the doors... but WHEN THE car is turned and running when you open and closed the door the light will turn off right when you clsoed the door.... my light is never turning off when the car is running
Oh also how do i wire a light wrong with a 1 way plug? that you cant plug in backwards???

door striker maybe, press that in with your finger while its running and see if that gets it to turn off.
