Thanks...it was a pain during the process but was always safer to take the time. Everything is tight in these cars and had to spend more time gathering the info and visualizing the complete project.
Now have to mount the switch and connect the wires to it.
It will activate only when I press the PDC switch because I will not need it every time when in reverse.

Could you please send me photos (to my email) how did you make the holes in the moldings?

Pretty baller. I hate parallel parking because the car is set up so well, it's impossible for me to see ANY part of my hood or trunk. I'll have to look into this more, but I'm done with wiring for the year lol.

You already made the holes didn't you?

Is there any specific place to put the front sensors in, because of possible things behind the moulding that black fitment?

And I only just saw the pics of the self-made mini-jack socket. DUDE! NICE you made an illumination ring around it fantastic!

    M3C: Very nice man!

HOLY SHIT, TITS, FREAKING ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?

That is amazing. It looks like an exact fit for our switch spaces. How did I ever miss that picture? Image having the SMG console so you have 10 switch spaces in front of the gearstick and have all the switches and aux/usb ports...man! That USB/AUX one is sweet!

That front PDC beep is much nicer. I have all but 2 pins on my original (OBC) gong taken. But that one, and the one on the opposite side are over. I do wonder, my retrofit kit has a gong which is a simple speaker with 2 wires (+12v and ground?) going to it. Is there a way to hook it up to the original gong (as the factory fitted PDC uses that gong, although when reversing the beep coming from the rear makes more sense). So I would like fitting a second OBC gong in the back for the rear PDC. But only one pin is used? Is this a trigger wire and not like the retrofit gong? Or is there a central ground pin on the OBC gong and the +12v wires to one of the T1/2/3/4/5 pins?

    (does my story make sense?)

Nice, so it's an exact fit. I found on for €20, but I don't have much use for a mini-jack only. USB would charge my ipod/iphone.

I'm sure there is no light on this one? Which kinda makes you own made one nicer than this OEM one.

If you have time, could you look at some of my questions in my previous post?

2:40am here Don't think Belarus was 2hours ahead? Hmm...

I'm too lazy now to type again. Will try again later today, or maybe you will understand it yourself when you are more awak

Wonder what the difference is between 4 and 5. Both are listed as USB/AUX-in but if you look at the "shadow" of 4/5 4 has 2 connectors, 5 only one...one connector for both USB and AUX?

    Found this:

This would be perfect for when I use my iphone 4 as a navigation device. If I plug it into the Dension, the ipod function allways goes on and you can't listed to radio. Well you can, but then the iphone isn't charged. With this setup, I could charge the iphone and run the Navigon app and use my radio for music. The only small downside is that the speech of the navigation will come from the iphone speaker, not through the car's speakers.

Mpar - 4 and 5 use different connectors for the Aux. 4 uses the same connector as 1 and 2, it's just hidden by the USB socket in those images. If you check the shadow closely it's actually the back of the part.

I can't find the mating half to the USB connector for any of those that's why I didn't buy one, it's totally custom and doesn't appear in the part diagram. It's coax 4 core with the 4 pins arranged in a + configuration.

The rear PDC should only be on when reverse is selected, not all the time.

The PDC switch is to turn the front PDC on when you need it. Otherwise it would beep everytime you are waiting behind a car in traffic.
