My BMW 316i Compact "Open Air"

    Hello !

    I'am Julien, 26 years old.

First: sorry for my english, probably poor because I'am French

    I have a BMW 316i (little engine I know !) with a big open roof like a convertible !

It's a daily driver, i really love it. It's very reliable unlike most of french car (like my Renault Clio 1,8 )

The engine is the M43 1.6 liter, 102hp. It's not fast, but it's cool to go to work !

    Pictures :

For the week end, i have a little sport car with the same power, but half less weight !

    The Peugeot 205 Rallye ! (1.3l 2 carbs 2 bodys WEBER)

    Bye !

I bet that 316i is outstanding on a nice warm spring day! Great color too!

Looks great. Never seen a ragtop Ti. Seems like a good mod

    Thanks fo your welcoming !

The colour is the Avus Blue, i really love it ! A neighbor have a M3 3.0 with the same colour !

The roof is an option. the car was maintained by BMW until 2007 ! I'am the 3rd owner, the first kept it from 1998 to 2008 ! I have all the paper (services manual, invoice ).

I bought it in july 2010, and this winter we had lot of snow ! It was fun, but most of Parisians don't know how to drive on snow

I will post some picture this evening.

Do not hesitate if you have any questions

    Bye

    Hello !

Sometime i check your forum to have some tips, and i have to update this little topic !

Since 2021 i have an automatic e39 528i sedan (because child ), but i keep ma little Compact.

On 2015 i make a road trip in the alps to the "Col de la bonnette", very cool week ! The "Open Air" is ideal for that !

    Now the car has 218 000km. It had 125 000km in 2010.

I make a lots of work during 2020 when i was blocked at home . Several oil leak have been corrected ! Now i use the car only for small ride (home to school )

    A clean engine

The 316i on the Montlhéry track last year

    And a ride this summer

Of course, my pseudo is always valide, i use my little stock peugeot 205 Rallye on track sometime

    Goodbye !
