    battery died 2002 bmw ci

    hey i would like some advice I left my lights on my mistake while i was at work. When got off to leave i noticed it and tried to start the car but the lights flicker and nothing happens. i would like to know can i just jump it and be fine or should just go get a new battery.

    Jump it. If you battery starts to randomly die for no reason then you may want to get a new one but as long as it holds a charge, you're good.

    Agree with this man.

    If you do need a replacement, you can get 49DL, or a yellow top from AAP's.

    I got mine from NAPA (Post #2 below) for my old car (2001 325i ZSP).

    What I have in the ZHP is in POST #11

    If you want more OEM and top of the line....get it HERE

    Jumping it would be the best bet, if its manual, and no body around you has jump start cables, just roll it down the hill and put it in gear

    I've always jumped my car, but I've heard in several places that you aren't supposed to jump these cars... just a hoax right?

    Really don't see any logic in that. In what instance wouldn't you want to jump your car?

    Since you don't even touch the battery, it's done totally from under the hood, I can't see why there would be a problem.
