Holy moly, spent the last two days (at work) drooling through this thread starting with page 1! You guys forced me to create a username after years of lurking without a login, so guess ill post mine up. I've given this sedan some love and I think it falls under the same category..

Old coworker had 98 3/4/5 he purchased in 2006 from Florida, drove it for 12k miles then let it sit in the sun until he finally let go of it 9 months ago. Picked It up with 72k on the odo and now I have about 83k and slowly replacing wear items.. It runs great! Long term plan is to replace the body rubber and have the Alpine re-sprayed since the clear coat cooked in the California sun for 3/4 of a decade. Dove grey is in good shape thanks to the tint. It was a sad site watching it decay for years and his Rose bushes started growing into the car, rats, etc.. Got a great deal but anyways ill start with the pictures from the day I picked it up. Sorry for the schitty phone pics.

What it looked like at PO's house.. Not even covered!

I pulled up to his house with a 5 gal jerry can of 91 and proceeded to drain the tank. I also made sure it had oil and replaced the battery. I manually rotated the crank, pulled the #18 fuse and cranked it to prime the oil pump. put the fuse back in and with fresh gas, it started right up.

There was a bit of a rodent/snail issue. Luckily, nothing was chewed up but the fire blanket.

Had to do some rose pruning just to get to the fuel door!

Finally got the car on a flatbed and back to my garage. Gave it a good wash/pest control. Needed tires right off the bat so I picked up some RE760's (RE01's we're not in stock at the moment I needed them). Been driving great ever since. Replaced the basics; fuel filter, changed the oil a few times, reconditioned the seats with Leatherique, plugs, basic maintenance, etc. but the paint never fully recovered from the years outside..

Replied. Thanks, still replacing little things here and there. Sun cooked door handle trim, etc. The peeling clear on the hood really bothers me. I'd like to get that sorted but something about weddings and how expensive they are..

I hear you, the sun can do damage to the car. I have a bunch of swirls all over my car and need a full detail sometime later. The paint on my car still shines though even after a standard wash

It has M parallels from e38 (selling them), lowered on Bilstein and H&Rs - both will be for sale as well. It is absolutely unbearable on our roads.

Thanks. Love your m3, if you don't mind me asking, what suspension are you running?

Thanks! H+R Sport springs / Bilsteins - seems fine to me but Id rather have TCK like on my Z3M Coupe as that car did ride much better than the M3.

This is so cool. Wanted to do something similar for ages now. Too bad it's such a trend these days with widebodies.

Do you have more pictures with the car or from the event?

It looks like a custom widened Rieger Infinity and custom bottom parts for bumpers and sideskirts.

Only the flares were one of a kind they made according to the owner.

How about some sedan love in the form of a video? Holding its own right now and should be very competitive once I get some RE-71R's on.
