Attention all GTA 8ers

The 26th of august is the big toronto event bimmercruise. I'll be there with the e31, as the last e31 event everybody brought different cars.

Even if you guys don't decide to enter, we should try and get a turn-out. This will be my first year ever in attendance, and i've been suffering e31 withdrawal, I haven't touched her since June!

Going to have to see if I can make it, the DD 8 has been giving me some issues.... This is the 8 last week on its way to the mechanics, when it got there she ran smoother then ever before. The mechanic did not know what to make of it other then maybe the throttle bodies

Well, I think it is that time to have another gathering before the really cold weather comes in.

With that said, there is an Autumn Cruise happening this coming Sunday September 16th, 2012.

Details:

Date: Sunday September 16th
Time: 11am meet - 12pm SHARP cruise departure (you're not there, too bad!)
Meeting Place: Dave & Busters parking lot
Address: 120 Interchange Way, Vaughan

Time for another run around the Muskoka region! As above indicates we'll be meeting in Woodbridge for an hour of chatting then depart northbound. The full round trip back to the Toronto area is around 400km. As I did for the Spring Cruise I will create a Google map of the route and have copies for everyone at the meet spot.

News:
- the last 1/4 of the route is different than last year's. Several new twisty and scenic backroads have been found and implemented into the old basic route.
- there is a lunch stop, a coffee stop, and a dinner stop. We never drive more than 1.5 hours without a break to stretch our legs, regroup, and use the facilities.
- the lunch and coffee stops are 30 mins each and I will give a 5 minute warning before leaving each stop.
- dinner will take place at around 5:30pm. Your choice of either Boston Pizza or Regatta Steakhouse which sit next to each other right on the water in Gravenhurst.
- if you stay for dinner, expect to return to the GTA at approximately 9pm. If you skip dinner but do the full cruise route you will be in the GTA by 7:30pm. Distance from Dave & Busters to dinner stop = 245km; distance from dinner location back to D&B = 145km.

I think it is the perfect opportunity to get everyone together once again and top it off with a day of great driving!

If anyone is into it there is a 4 hour trackday at mosport development track on Thanksgiving monday, Oct 8th. from 1-5. Its $100 and has a novice and experienced group that alternate every 1/2 hour or so. Should be a good mix of cars. Ask Adrian how much fun it is.(at least until the green stuff started dripping). If anyone is interested reply and I'll post the link.

Since it was such a nice cruise, the guys over at maXbimmer are having an encore run on October 20th, 2012.

SEVEN40iL.... I love that the only engine noise you hear in the video was of the other cars around you, I bet you were the most comfortable one there. I am still on the hunt for one, but damn a clean iL is a hard animal to track down.

Unfortunately when we as GTA7 & GTA8 members do not show up to these events, they tend to be filled with 3's

So let's all try and come out for this event and show the local BMW club that the Flagship Coupe and Sedan still represent well
