I am thinking of buying an imola red from bmw dealer in Rogers, anyone around there know this car or the previous owner? any input would be appreciated.

2006 Z4M , premium pkg, navi, about 24K, says local one owner, has a sport exhaust installed, vin #5umbt935x6ly52273 and is a certified series. How would I find if it had been a raced car? I am tempted to buy but just a little scared.

You have nothing to worry about. It was a flood damaged car, but they manage to get a clean title for it.

I touch a lot of cars nobody else touches, half-@$$ed swaps, ratty 200K M3's, $300 vintage heaps...

One thing I will never, EVER own myself is a flood damaged car.
