    18x9.5 rear wheels on e46

Just got them in, and oh boy they look good, but there is some light rubbing in some situations, like a big bump in the street or coming down a parking lot with a higher then normal depression.

    Tires on it are 255x35x18.

Any suggestions on suspension, the installer suggested rolling, is that a good option?

The rubbing is NOT a deal breaker for me, but can be annoying.

With the rubbing you describe and your tire size, I take it you have a +45 offset out back if you have sport suspension alignment specs, if you're running a bit more camber than sport, +40 offset? Either way, you should be able to do a conservative roll without risking any damage to the paint. Just flatten the inner fender lip a little bit and you should be good to go. I'm running a 19x9.5 ET33 245/35 out back and with a very conservative roll (2-2.8mm) I'm able to fit them without rubbing.

    Is your car lowered?

My stock xi suspension has the same tire size on a ET37 rear offset wheel. I know the xi is higher but I did plan on lowering it at some point and don't wanna rub.

Love them, the car looks much better, the offset brings something new to the car.. Along with a little rub that'll be dealt with soon.

Putting tires that are smaller than the reccomended size. i.e Putting a 235 on a 9.5.

Well you could always go the old bat and heat gun route... or just wait until a shop is open.
