    Question Dinan 5 Badge - What's it worth?

    Years ago, a guy I work with built up a Dinan E34 and earned the badge accordingly. He was concerned someone might steal the car and so he never put the badge on. Long after the car had been sold, he found the badge still in the wrapper from Dinan complete with instructions. It's genuine and brand new.

    Not that it's being offered for sale just yet, what do you think would be a fair price?

    Why doesnt he just put it on? He has insurence doesnt he?

    I found a 540i manual trans for $1500 two hours from me, thankfully I had the good sense to ask for the VIN before I went to look at it. It was a 525i that some moron stuck a 540i badge on! I agree, throw the thing away as it is pretty meaningless.
