Thanks to Bimerok, Itint4u for making this look so stock .

also Thanks goes to Ar Design for replacing my cats and move them closer to the headers for optimal temperature. I went with Metal core this time, will see how long they will last.

Im jealous of your exhaust setup. HOPEFULLY I can find someone decent here in Memphis to do an equally good job.

How well are engine vibrations, etc, isolated with this install? Is it close to a stock E36? I like your install of the LS1, but I would really like to know what he NVH is like compared to stock.

You definitely get more N & V, but not H

There is more vibration than stock, because you are replacing your engine with the one twice your size in displacement and add 2 more cylinders. The vibrations are nothing crazy, but definitely increased and even rock your car when you rev it as it does in the origin of the engine.

Noise has obviously increased from stock, because of reason above plus aftermarket exhaust set up and muffler. This part really depends on your preferences and likings. There are hundreds of options for exhaust. You can make it as loud or as quite as you want.

Both vibrations emitted and current sound it makes are nothing disturbing, but instead very pleasing. It is very close to C6 Vett with exhaust note a little bit louder. And I'm comparing with C6 Vett, because I've driven this for quite a while

The C6 was sold for some time now, but from what I remember (Boriksh's) car was about the same on initial acceleration, but then aerodynamics come into play. I think C6 would've won up top eventhough e36 has long tubes and exhaust... May be Borik will do a race with c6 at one point and let us know.

My e36 is 5.7 and is NOTICEABLY slower than 6.0.

I want to replace all my original 16 years old control arms,subframe/diff bushings first, and hopefully will try to find victim then. but yeah this car is fast even at mile high altitude.

As a point of reference I did some baseline dynos on a dynojet with my car and got 308whp and 313tq on a basically stock LS1 m3. What type of numbers do you think the 6.0 m3 produce?

Clueless... With exhaust and a tune maybe ~440 - 450 crank??? Never cared about the numbers. I like the feel of the pants more than anything...

How do you like the gearing of the GTO T56 with the 3.23 on the track? I have the same transmission, and thinking of going with a 3.73 out back.

Thats a good question. The GTO gearbox has a lower first gear compared to the FBody T56. The M12 (T56 in the GTO) would probably add a distinct advantage on the launch with that 3.23 and the light weight of the car. The M12 also has closer ratios in 1st through 3rd, though I'm not too sure about 5th and 6th.

In my GTO, especially since I had the LS3 installed, first gear is almost too low. I've been thinking about sourcing the earlier transmission myself.

I am not sure what your T56 is out of, but in the T56 I got out of a 2006 GTO, all gear ratios (except 4th) are different from the F-body trans.

I will let boriksh confirm, but its just perfect! I personally wouldn't put 3.73, it would be too much. There is no need to make it a high rev engine and drivetrain... Currently 3rd is the most used gear on NJMP with a very wide RPM range.

I wouldnt put anything other than 3.23 in. it feels very handful, torque is there when you need it, with relatively low RPM.
