Should be about 250w @ 15lbs but capable of around 300 at 20lbs. Eventually I want to have a equal length exhaust manifold made and maybe intake.

I do, and I was sure to clean the screen and put a fresh pump in.

Another note I will be getting a open diff to weld up this weekend. It has 4.10 gears which is going to be too quick IMO but it will be a lot better than the inconsistent factory 2.9 lsd.

Your car is awesome, I've posted it somewhere before I think but here's a shot of it at First Class Fitment 2011. I'm excited to see this build come back to life (or the thread anyway).

i just found my calling!!!, i love the e30 platform and i love the 1.8t (as i own an e30 and a 20th AE GTI with a 1.8t) and ive said it numerous times that i would love to have a 1.8t in a RWD car in an e30 at that, and low and behold you did it! please post more pics and details, how did u get the 1.8t to bolt up to the W58 and what did u do for mounts?

So I put a 4.10 lsd in today. Love it! Such a difference compared to the 2.93 I had in there.
I took it out to a couple empty lots today to see how it was. I need to get used to the gearing but today was my first time ever being able to slide in third. Hopefully in the next few weeks I can get the ecu flashed and I will have good power. Currently I am onnly running 7lbs, stock MAF & stock injectors.

used the gopro while I was messing around.

video from an event we had this past weekend. I am quiet impressed. I was sticking to the rev limiter most of the time in second gear. I was running 235/50/17s and I just couldn't spin them enough in 3rd like when I have my 16s on.

Coming from the 2.9 I like the 4.10 a lot. With the big tires on the 17s I just couldn't keep them turning in 3rd. For the next event I am going to try some 215/40s. If I still can't turn them good in 3rd I can always turn the boost up, I was running 13lbs but tuned for 19, so I have room. At the same time early on with the 16s clicking third I found my self not able to scruff my speed enough and kept ending up in the grass in the back section of the lower course. So maybe the 4.10 is not ideal but I am not sure what I should try next, is there something higher? or I can go down to something in high 3's (not sure what the ratios are 3.73,3.90?)

As for the smoke I think its a bad valve seal. It ran just fine but as you saw, billowed smoke after a run. no smoking at idle, cruising or even during heavy throttle. Last week I had an injector stick open on me while I was cranking it over. Popped the head gasket & when I drained the oil after changing the head gasket there was just about 2 gallons of oil/gas mix. So I am giving my garage a much needed cleaning then pulling the head again to put some new seals in & have it all checked out. Should be fine for the next event.

It was my first time really driving/drifting it since the swap. sure I have done some small parking lot goofing but this was its first true test. I wasn't holding back and was quite impressed that I only broke a throttle cable.

    another vid

I think a 3.73 would be much better for you

    Highlight of my day

Asking you for some oil and you having a half quart in the engine bay!!!

I looked at some supra forums to see what they pair their w58s with and IIRC they run like 4.56's or higher.

I want to get a welded anyways so I will look out for a 3.73 and see how it does.

Yea I would agreed with a 3. something. Get more use out of 2nd. Can you get something like a 3.15?

And I like how you found my favorite pothole on the lower course!

with your motor issues worked out at 19psi you should be able to nuke 3rd pretty good with a 3.73 all day on 17s
