I am about to flash my DME on my E38 750i V12 M73N vehicle,
using Progman, do i need to resync the EWS afterwards manual and/or the EGS Transmission module to be reflashed to get it work ?
Also heard resetting adaptation values NEED to be reset after a DME flash ? But also being told a adaptation reset of the V12 DME/EML is a bad thing to do, could brick the EML-module.
So whats true about all these ?
I didn't need to resync my EWS. Dunno about the transmission since my car is a manual. Just make sure you have fast baudrate disabled.
If needed Progman will align EWS automatically !
I programmed many ECUs, with Progman and WinKFP, but till now an EWS alignment was not necessary... so just program it and all is okay.
And what about adaptation reset ?
So when flashing the DME it will auto. reset adaptation values?
So as said reset the 750i EML adaptations will brick the EML module
but DME is not same as EML module, or are they linked and will both be updated (and so adaptation values reset ?) ?
Small kick
If your engine runs rough after flashing, reset the DME adaptations and leave your EML module alone.

What is the reason you're reflashing it?
I would personally not touch it, the EML module is too easy to brick on the V12 and then you're out of luck. Not worth the risk.
