And so the process starts again This time around a 95' M3 setup for track and autocross rather than the straight line thing!

sweeet! Any dyno numbers from that black M3 you turbo'd?
Damn server needs to stop being busy!
2hrs later (3 hrs later) lol
Is all this progress happening REAL TIME?? jeebzus
Or were these pics taken earlier?
Matt, I made ~400/400 @ 4200 with a 8.5:1 piston'd 3L with an SC61. Def not an autox turbo.
It still has the SC61 setup on it, haven't start the 67 setup yet, still a few more weeks. It's made 552whp on 18.5psi so far with the old setup
Yes it's happening real time, 2 hours between the first set of pics and second. I would have had the most recent ones up sooner if the server didn't keep saying "busy"
The powerband is just what he'll need, the other SC61 M3 I did has plenty of power to throw the car around between 3 and 4k rpm
Bangin...... it ......... OUT!!!!
Damn, 3 hours later and the head is off. You are moving pretty fast.
I love your projects.

Should be a fun weekend toy. (Auto X I assume)
as a cheap find (my e36 m3), i originally bought the car for autoX / track. Everyone knows that to track a car (track time, plus parts and fab work) it cost more than just to autoX. So in the beginning, including what my budget could handle, i started out in AutoX. This was wallet friendly and it lets me learn the characteristics of the car. Once thats done and i had more money i went the boost route. Once this project is complete ill prolly do a few AutoX's until im comfortable handling the car with additional HP. THEN ill move on to HPDE (SEBRING BOUND). So in AutoX it will be used for me to improve my fine motorskills( this relating to myself not the car). I also use the car as my DD so this should be fun also. As a stock car with full suspension it already out handles my E46 M3.
Thanks Shawn
Why not use a t4 flanged, more flow = quicker spool?

So let me get this straight... a turbo project track car for DD use... Why dont you daily drive the e46?
Looks good Shawn!
i bought it with a T3 flange at a great price. On top of that im not that familiar with turbo's. Researching this, id figured it would work. And the used exhaust mani i found was a T3 also. Sure if i had deep pockets things would have been different.
Yes this is correct.
I baby my E46, plus its a pain in the a** to keep jet black clean.

OP, you are going to love the HPF feramic clutch. I love mine. To my knowledge, it is the same thing as the SB stage 5.

cant wait for some fun
Sorry for the lack of updates guys, been busy getting some other cars in and out of the shop. Put the head back on last night so it could sit overnight torqued and be retorqued this morning. Spent the majority of the day today back at it and made some good progress!
Enjoy!
Love the motor mount and great plumbing!!
