but I hope this gives you an idea on what the drop looks like.
stephenyi - looks great!
So I'm assuming it's possible to only lower the front and not adversely affect the handling dynamics of the car? The rear gap of my car looks OK stock but the front gap is like the grand canyon.

Looks good. Where did you order from? Is there any change in ride?
I ordered the H&R springs and rear Bilsteins from Turner Motorsport and the front Konis from Tire Rack.
I was afraid that the ride would stiffen up after the drop but I don't notice any additional harshness in normal driving. The Konis are set to 1 full turn from the softest setting. I definitely don't feel as much roll on higher speed turns. So overall, the suspension feels tighter without feeling harsh if that makes sense.
Is there a write-up anywhere on replacing the front control arms? I have ordered the parts already and am looking to do it sometime this week. If not, does anyone know if any special tools are required? I will do a write-up if there isn't one.
I don't know of one right offhand specifically for the e32, but Rod Paine has an excellent writeup for the e28, and there are a lot of commonalities between the two models. http://mysite.verizon.net/vze7aq8e/id18.html

Most E34 stuff is very relevant to E32s as they share a lot of the same suspension/engine/drivetrain.
On an unrelated note, I'll post some pics of my E32 with newly installed Bilstein/Vogtlands. Other than looking far superior to stock, it feels like a completely different car. Well worth the investment, even if I did eat the labour costs to have it done at a shop.

Thanks guys! Both those links look like they will be very helpful. I will do a write-up as well when I do it.

Dahnn, what shock are you using? stock? still have the sls? looks great btw!!
Mine has Bilstien Sports front & rear with Racing Dynamics springs..
Love the ride and handling but I have been eating upper strut bushings! BMW warrantied the first new set I tore through and I'm now headed to set #3
Anyone else had this problem?
Instead of starting a new thread on this, I thought I would ask a question to my problem here. I did have a set of older H&R lowering springs, but one of them broke, so I decided to cut the older stock springs to see how the worked. Well, when after cutting a couple coils off and put them back on, I noticed that the stock springs have a slight taper at each end to fit into the upper and lower perches. I put the cut portion to the top because the lower perch is more form fitting to the spring, while the upper is flatter around the outer rim. The problem is that with the spring larger than the perch, it actually binds against the outer edge of the 'tower' when turning.
How do those in the cut spring crowd handle this?

I hated mine when I cut the front springs....Was noisy as hell. The problem is after you cut the coils they are too big to sit down in the perches correctly. And will make all kinds of noise while turning.
Not sure if this is still relevant however I have a few detailed pictures of the control arms on my suspension write up but I had previously done the control arms before the springs and shocks. I can make up a write up if someone would like a bit more detail on the ins and outs of the larger bolts and how the assembly goes together.

Can some one recommend me a setup?
My current suspension is stock height I believe. I want a more neat looking stance.
My wheel sizes are.
Front : 245/35/R19
Rear : 265/30/R19
I'm wanting the rear wheels to have a slight tuck under the guards. For the front wheels I don't want these to tuck under the guards but have a more fender filling appearance.
I still would like the car to feel like a 7 series and not a suped up Japanese sports car but I'm willing to sacrifice a little smoothness.
Here's a few pictures of what the car currently looks like. I can take some more on request.
