.hey dude noticed your in AZ. Checkout azbmw.org We are pretty local with our meets happening in chandler and in north phoenix
I'm kinda a lurker there been to in n out a couple of times (I live right down the road), but it's been a bit....
[quote]love the bike handle bar welded to the ebrake[/QUOTE lol, works like a charm. and then with the rest of it, she worked perfect for rack spacers. who would've thought......
wish I was, then I'd have the video to prove it man I can't even count the hours of work, it was all, and is, a learning curve and just kinda going with it, soooo say over 100 for sure at this point easily, for fundage the shell ended up being 200.00, as for the rest, I robbed my m3 of tons of her parts which weren't cheap, the motor and such I got in trade for s50b32 headers n nice exhaust plus a bit of moneys, tubing, metal, supplies, etccccc.....I think you are a super hero! this thing is just epic from top to bottom. I would like nothing more than to have been watching a video of this thing tearing things up. Can I get a guess-timate on time/funds invested to this point?
Can we get an update? I would be happy with a few new pictures even!
i havent done a ton of megasquirt stuff... but i think you need to install the code befor you use the simulator, how do you know the board isnt reading the stim if the code isnt installed and its not communicating with your computer? i had to go though 3 different cables before i found one that worked, one would read but when i burned the tune (after changing only one setting) it would change all kinds of random stuff... the one that finally worked was from radio shack i think.
86' 325es has 24v's
I have no idea how I haven't posted ITT.
So here it is:
Sell family, sell house, sell body, just finish this thing will ya?
still on the laggin tip. I feel like I'm disappointing all the onlookers
yup, the megasquirt ended up being a couple hard wired issues, then of course the whole code, correct cables, and bin files etc to get it all working. So, Looks like I've got a working ms2 now just need to get my act together and get the rest done .....
if only I could just prioritize as so......Sell family, sell house, sell body, just finish this thing will ya?
Could we see a video of it moving? i dont care if you paid some kids to push it even.
Have you ever seen a drift truck drift?
well you're not going to find any e36 trucks drifting, but plenty of vids of truck conversions sliding.
here's something to keep you entertained!
I'm not fluent in Japanese, but I’m pretty sure “Kekekekekekekekay!” is Japanese for “DRIFT TRUCKS ARE SICKKKKKK!” The commentator really sums up what I feel watching the clip:

doesn't even look like he's trying lol.
Status: Someone put glitter in my oil. Wait. Why's all my oil outside the engine? What's that knocking?
Wow, if you blacked out the Windows it would look like he was driving to church. LOL

lol, favorite grips ever. they last a lifetime if you ride bikes Dakine makes em.
so for some motivation sakes, a wee update of a wee bit of progress.........nothin really cool nor monumental, but I'm finally tinkering again.......
chassis harness is nearly all done with all the goodies to keep her legal along with all the power/ switch essentials for the running of the airplane motor. not pretty now, but just pushin to get her running before makin too pretty. (thank goodness I drew a diagram while building all this )
how the rear is used for now
accessories going back on the motor
puter ready to give a go , just need to build a basic tune
brakes plumbed. no bias valve for now, but if needed it'll be easy to pop inline in the rear whenever
n waste spark coil placement
n that's all folks. hopefully I can keep a crackin to get this thing started sooner than later

Keep at it man. This will be one of those cars when it is done where there are photos of it all over the internet and you will be famous and then you can quit your day job and just sit in your throne of power next to Zeus.

wanted to share the album
found a few an fittings n parts, so got a bit more under way....
oil system a go,
fuel a go,
Clutch control a go ( master, lines) other than needing a different slave, since this getrag trans uses one with different spacing than the zf.
p/s system a go (90 percent)
cooling (radiator placement underway, lotta chopping the core support and such to get it farther forward. making me think I just have to build a little tube ender down the road)
ignition--------plug wires are too short.
anyone know how to re use the ends going to the plugs. I found em on the Beru site, but I'm then lookin at over 300.00 to build some new plug wires.
Ah great to see this so close! Email me some pics of what you have to work with for the plug wires i think I got ya covered! Had to do something very similar recently
Miss ya brother wish I could lend a hand!
I have a feeling you could win some trophies with this thing. Keep at it. One day this baby is going to be on my desktop background!
ban if he doesn't finish it.
