I had a set of staggered 18" style 5s, I was going to use them on my turbo 540i. Ended up selling them since I have to switch down to 17s now to run some fast drag radials.
For an E38, they're too small. Only if style 5s were made in a 19"/20" size, they would be on my car right now.

    - - - Updated - - -

    Current setup:
    ACS Type 2 19x8.5 (20mm spacer) and 19x9.5 (15mm spacer)

Performance Tuning and EWS Delete for MSS52/MSS54/MSS54HP/MS41/MS42/MS43/ME7.2/M5.2
Virgnize DME service available to unlock DME to sync to another vehicle on EWS3 vehicles 98+. M5.2.1, M7.2, MS42, MS43, MS45, ME9.2 and more.

I had an X5 that was my daily while building this. I sold it to move onto to the dark side. Mercedes, I actually think they're more reliable and it puts my 750 to shame with the powerplant in my benz.

"I actually think they're more reliable and it puts my 750 to shame" --- I have been waiting for someone on this forum to make this statement ---

I have several friends who have the MB V12 engine like yours and they have had zero problems with not only the engine but also the car ---

I have been very impressed when riding in their cars - Enough so that I have looking in a casual manner at this time but ready to purchase

should the right one come along ---

Thank-You for your honesty in your post knowing that you may receive some negative feedback ---

May be true but every time I sit in a Merc I feel like I'm driving Grandmas car and I will die of a heart attack soon. Maybe the new stuff is better but anything affordable to us is atrocious.

Back on topic, I think we should go. Maybe I'll create on OT thread for my benz here later when it's ready to burn rubber.

I think the new Alpina B7 rims looks really good on the E38, sadly i have only seen one instance of this combo and thats on a youtube video --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XunY7hZWvuI (Alpina 750 )
If you guys know someone with this set can you post a picture of it? I cant seem to find it on google.
What do you guys think of the replica B7 rims? Would that even in 18/19 inch form hold the weight of my 750i?? The reason i asks i because replicas are supposed to be made of inferior quality compared to the originals. Thanks in advance for the input.
