Hi!
This is my 323i - bought it from Germany, just got it home to Norway
- September 1979 build (facelift)
- Karneolrot Metallic (really a pre-facelift color...)
- 117800kms
- 3 owners before me - the first had it for 23 years
- Bilstein dampers
- G-Power springs
- Alpina-frontspoiler (not mounted due to transport)
- Hartge manifold
- Stainless steel exhaust (designed after Hartge system)
- Recaro seats (not OEM)
- BBS RS 7"x15" front, 8"x15" rear
So clean. So proper. Perfect!
wallpaper worthy...still drooling...

You car is in excellent shape, where did you find it...and what did you do to restore it?

Thanks! I'm extremely happy with it!
I've had a pic (see below) of this car as a desktop since 2008, as a "model" of how I wanted my 323i to look. Then in january - browsing a few used-car sites - this one showed up for sale in Germany. And since we only live once, I just HAD to buy it
The first owner had the car for 23 years (1979 - 2002) but it was not used from 1984!!! In 2003 some one bought it and fixed all the stuff that gets ruined due to no use; hoses, brakelines, fueltank etc. The engine got a small overhaul (bearings and seals..).
In 2006 there was a new owner who fixed a lot of the "optics"; new lights, chrome details, suspension, wheels etc. The paint is still the original.
So I hven't restored anything (yet) - it's bought, not built
Here's my desktop pic

The snow pics was taken when I moved it from one garage to another - 50 yards of winter use
Mirrors were black from the factory, I do not know when they were painted.
I have driven the car 500km the last week, and it is absolutely flawless
And I love the "back to basic" feel of no powersteering and the absense of driving aids; this is indeed the ultimate driving machine
A few pics;
Gorgeous!
Wow, very very nice.
I think the Alpina front spoiler is becoming my favorite airdam now.
such a perfect car!

Great looking car. Glad you decided to buy it and realize your dreams vs just looking at the desktop.
I'd rather be driving...
