Want to buy a 760... Need Advice

He guys, I am a big BMW fan (currently drive a X5) and am looking to purchase a used 760 with under 50K miles. What can I expect in servicing and repairs considering it will probably be out of warranty. Also, the prices are all over the place, I found one that I am trying to make a deal on for $40K (has extended warranty till 129K miles), here's the car - http://www.globalautosports.com/car/...dan-33130.html

Yeah $45K I would be high. Miles are low and the car is clean so I thought $38K - $40K was fair.

i was thinking more like $27k AT MOST

edit: find out what kind of warranty it has and what it covers

it cant be a BMW warranty with 129k mile cap. BMW warranties only go up to 100k miles

edit #2: that website has CRAZY overpriced cars

Hope you got deep pockets. They're not cheap to maintain. The intake manifold has to come off to even get to the spark plugs!

    Looking for a road trip-mobile

Hey folks, I'm looking at 760s also. I'm mechanically inclined (wrenching on cars since a kid, aircraft mechanic), and prefer learning complicated systems to upkeep. Was initially looking at the V8s, but figured I may try the V12 for the long drives I normally do. 745s are all over the place, but hard to find with all the options, so the 760 makes sense in that regard. Are there still options for the 760Li above & beyond the norm? So far I've found a basket case in Portland for $10K....almost laughed at the guy. Looking at another '03 with 89K miles that has potential, but am thinking $15k is too much. Any help is appreciated.

Hello, I live in Vancouver Washington, I only seen 3 760's 1 in the Seattle area, 1 in Vancouver & 1 in Portland. You may have to look outside of PNW to find one.
