Mine just arrived this past Monday. I can't wait to put it on, but I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not to leave it CF or paint it.

What center caps or hubs are you running with your K1's? I would run them everyday on my car if I could find a center cap solution.

I used some ACS center caps someone was selling and modified the tabs a little to make them fit.

Does anyone have any advice on mounting these wings? I recently purchased one of these from Abrahams Motorsport and I'm on my own with regard to drilling holes. Anyone have advice? Or more important, any gotchas I should avoid?

Got mine from someone on the forums recently--looks ebay, CF. Construction leaves something to be desired, and hole placement on the bottom of the wing is ridiculous--holes line up on the welded seam of the trunk lid underneath, and one of the holes is useless as it is right over the massive hole from the OEM spoiler third brake light connection.

But, the CF finish is very good, it's super light, and has been stable at highway speeds. The base is chunkier than I'd like, but I like it overall.

I got my LTW replica wing from a vendor on this site. BMWE35M5 is the member name. I had it painted and installed by a local body shop.. they said it was fairly easy.





I like it and it has removable risers just like factory.

It looks like they both sell the same wing, they are both from hong kong and they share the same photo.

What was the mounting process like? Did the seller include a template and hardware for the install? If you would not mind taking some, I would love to see some photos on the underside of the deck lid with the screw placement and all.

I'm starting to wonder...at what point is a spoiler cost $1000 for parts, shipping, paint and install even worth it. Are e36's not old yet? For shits sake, the KBB on our cars is nothing. When your second credit card (ever) has a credit limit higher than your car, should we not be concerned? Couldn't that grand be put towards something less likely to be almost a complete waste?

Cars eventually bottom out and the e36 is getting very close, I personally feel that the e36 does not appeal to the rice community as much as say the civic. There's also the factor that a lot of people still race the e36 and since it's not yet a rare car and parts are still made I don't see it going anywhere in the next couple years. Once they stop making e30 parts and the e30 crowd goes flat then I'd start to worry. Till then people will continue to dump money, and honestly I love my e36 it's got 119k and plenty more life to go why not make it as enjoyable as possible. I'm young I have very little to pay for why not enjoy what I have?
